Grand Cayman

We are going to be on the Legend on 2-14-10 and will be going to Grand Cayman. Can anyone tell me if this is a dock port or will it be tendered? If it is tendered can anyone tell me how long it generally takes to get a tender if you are not doing a shore excursion through the cruise line? Any information provided is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It is a tender port. The distance to the shore isn't very far, so they keep people moving pretty well. They do allow the people with shore excursions to go down first...we had to show tickets to get down to zero deck. There were also people on our tender who did not have excursions. I believe that they had to go to a lounge to get a tender sticker. So, if you want to get an early tender, just get to the designated lounge early!

Tendered, and it depends on the ship, weather, and amount of passengers, but It's not a long wait either direction. It was my first trip out of the US in 1979, and I wasn't on a ship, so a sentimental favorite even though it's nothing like it was then.
