Need to be pointed in right direction!!

Recommended Posts

I booked The Paradise from LA to Catalina Island and Ensenada. I cant find any info about Ensenada on CC. Can someone point me in the right direction on the boards. Thanks :D

You'll find Ensenada included on the 'Mexican Riviera' ports of call section. I did a quick search and found these threads:

Enjoy!!

Thanks for that but in the Mexican Riviera all the post are about these ports Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas, Loreto, Manzanillo, Mazatlan, Pichilingue/La Paz, Puerto Vallarta, Topolobampo , & Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico. I did some research on the web and the port seems to be so so nothing too exciting :(

If your adventurouse....do the la bufadora kayak adventure....at first , I didnt think i would be all that impressed with going to the " blow hole". But after being there and kayaking out in the water, it was very nice and glad we did it.

We took the same itinerary some years back with our daughters who were then of college age. We took the inland Catalina tour and saw buffalo, an airstrip and great scenery. Our daughters, whom we rarely saw, went snorkeling. Pacific waters are very cold so a wetsuit is provided. In Ensenada we visited "La Bufadora" which is a coastal blow hole. Let me explain, it's a rocky beach cove where the waves hit and project the water at times over your head. Quite a sight if the tide is right. We also visited a large Spanish style building, I do not recall it's name. It was slated to be a large casino owned by a famous American boxer. I do not recall his name (a senior moment). Downtown Ensenada has a nice main street area with bars and outdoor restaurants. I always enjoy speaking with the locals since I am naturally curious, my wife says I am nosey. Most people are friendly if you speak Spanish. Enjoy!
