wine?

You are welcome to bring aboard as much wine, champagne, water, and soda as you care to. That's at embarkation, or any port along the way.

There's no charge to drink any of it in your cabin. If you bring the wine or champagne to the dining room, or a lounge, there's an $18 per bottle corkage charge.

On Tuesday my husband and I are leaving for a 12 Mediterranean cruise on HAL Oosterdam. Is it true that you can buy wine at port and bring it on board to drink in your room?

And yes you can buy wine in port and bring it on board. We plan to do it in each port to try different wines. You should check out the roll call for our cruise. We are leaving tomorrow to spend a few days in Rome before the cruise.

Thanks! That's a nice surprise.

Hoopman, we'll be at the meet and greet at the crows nest. My awesome mother-in-law, 'new cruiser', set everything up for us. Can't wait to meet everyone! We're counting down the days...
