travelling pair Posted July 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2009 We are booked on the Oceania Regatta boarding in Stockholm September 5th. Our full day of seeing this city will be on Sunday the 6th with departure at 5.00 p.m. The Regatta is also in Gdansk on a Sunday from 8.00a.m. to 2.30p.m. We want to do these cities on our own, will we have more difficulty finding public transportation on a Sunday? All the information I've found on this site about buses and trains seem to be for weekdays. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Drifting Happily Posted July 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2009 We were in Stockholm on a Sunday, docked at Frihamnen. We took public transportation to get into town on Sunday, and found that the bus schedule was reduced from weekdays. We took the bus from the dock to the subway. The bus ran less frequently on weekends, and one route was cancelled, but we were still able to use the bus. The subway was fine.

Drifting Happily Posted July 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I believe it was Bus #1. We walked out of the port area to catch it, then rode to the Ropsten metro stop and took the metro into central Stockholm. There was a tourist information desk in the cruise ship terminal. They directed us how to find the bus stop.
