Galveston had a White Christmas!!!!

Definetly.............weather in Galveston can be "iffy" into March......although I'm sure 4 inches of snow is a record!! It has been known to get down into the 50's which is chilly for them........I'm sure the people around there had no idea how to drive on that stuff and the highway department in Southern Texas probably had no supply of sand or salt to deal with that.

Our daughter lives in Galveston county - one son and his family are in Sugarland. We had a white christmas all around the Houston area, but there was more snow south toward Galveston. It was magical and so special for the kids. The sun along with beautiful blue skies and rising temperatures took care of melting it, but we all have lots of snow and snowman pictures! :D

We've lived in the area for 45 years and this was our first white Christmas.

(by the way - our highway overpasses were sprinkled with sand - we're prepared for most anything here in TX!)
