Sixth Ave Inn Seattle

Has anyone ever stayed here before? My husband and I are going to Alaska and are arriving in Seattle the day before and we have booked a room at the Sixth Ave Inn. It looked ok on the website and we got a good deal. We have never been to Seattle before and need some guidance! :confused:

i have friends who stay here for quick/ cheap shopping trips to Seattle. They say it's nothing fancy but good location and cheap.

Thanks! We aren't really looking for anything fancy, just a place to rest our heads in the short amount of time we will be there. Does any one know how far away Pike Place is and how strenuous of a walk it would be?

As noted, nothing fancy but it's in a good central location and new management has cleaned it up some recently.

 

It's about a 6-7 block walk to the Market from there...not a strenuous one at all.

We didn't stay there, but did eat breakfast at their restaurant. From the looks of the lobby, restrooms, and hallways I'd say that it's very basic. We were able to book a room at the Westin through priceline for less that what this hotel posts as rates on their website. The Westin was much higher end than the 6th ave inn. Pike Place is 6.5 blocks from the inn. This should be easy walking on the way there, but is a steady incline on the way back.

Thanks for all the info!! I have rheumatoid arthritis and can do some walking but nothing real strenuous. If all else fails we can use a taxi. Thanks again! :)
