K.sailaway Posted July 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2009 Thanks for posting this, Zider. I was with you on QM2 that day and I have to say that Queen Elizabeth 2's reply was a surprise and a great delight. I never thought I'd hear that wonderful sound again. K. Terrence Richards Posted August 1, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2009 I POSTED THIS ON ANOTHER TREAD BUT THE QUEEN OF QUEENS REALLY DESERVERVES A THEAD OF HER OWN This brought back so many happy days. Hello Zider, Thank you so much for providing your video and the link. Being on the QE2 seven times between 1993 and 2002, seeing her in Dubai with no future plans to take on passengers to sail again, was rather sad. It was nice to hear the QE2 horn again. I thought by now everything on board was shut down. Watching the QM2 pulling away from the QE2 was as if two sisters spent some time together for the day, but had to part and say goodbye.
