Technology in Alaskan ports

I was wondering if AT&T has good cell coverage in Alaskan ports? I tried calling AT&T directly but got this answer: "What's Alaska's zip code".! Frightening. Also, anybody know if there is any free WiFi in ports? We're doing Infinity's Inside Passage Aug. 7th-14.

We had great AT&T reception in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. Not sure of any of the others though. Be careful if you are leaving from Vancouver. Rogers has the contract ofr AT&T up there and it can get expensive. A 10 minute call to Texas was $26. not sure aboutt he Wifi but I expect there are plenty of nodes in those towns

Cheers, Kenn

I just returned from Alaska yesterday (Infinity), and had very good cell coverage with AT&T.

Thanks for the info. How was the Infinity? That's what we'll be on in cabin 8125 (if I remember correctly). We booked concierge class. I hope it's worth it.
