Best place for buying silk in Singapore

Can anyone recommend anywhere that is the best for silk purchases, please...dress lengths, especially and preferably within easy reach of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, please.

Singapore got very expensive. The prices in Orchid Rd aren't any different from any major cities in US. For silk I'd try Bankok or other cities.

Arab Street has a good selection. It's just a short cab ride from Mandarin Oriental.

Singapore lost any relevance it once had around 1976, when it got far too clean, far too expensive, far too safe, and VERY boring.

 

Now we call it "Disneyland with the Death Penalty".

There are definitely NO bargains to be had there.

For fantastic silks at very low prices, take a short flight to Hanoi.

The money you save on shopping will pay for the flight.

After Hanoi, you will never visit Singapore again.
