Boston luggage drop-off.

We are driving a rental car to Boston and we are trying to only have to pay for a one day rental as one way from Syracuse is $85 p/d. What is the earliest that we can drop off our luggage at the terminal? We then planned on dropping of the rental and taking a taxi to Faneuil Hall. The earlier we can drop off our luggage, the earlier we can pick our car up the day before.
