courtaz Posted August 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Many moons ago (we won't say how many) when I was stationed in Honduras we used to drink guaro (I don't remember the specific brand). Since this will be my first trip back to Honduras I'm wondering if anyone remembers seeing guaro on the shelves for sale or if any future cruiser would be willing to keep their eyes open. Because of the alcohol by volume (40+) do you know if I will have issues bringing it back to the States? Thank you

Thank you Last? first...I believe you are allowed 1 liter of alcohol duty free if not bought in a duty free shop (like on board the ship) I don't think there's a restriction on the alcohol content. Someone else may know for certain. First ?: You might try the shops on the West End to see if they have any. There are a couple of grocery stores on the island that carry liquor. Warren's in Coxen Hole and another store up in French Harbor. They may carry it, under the Tatascan brand. I know guaro is very popular in Costa Rica where Guaro Cacique is produced. That brand may be available too.
