SilvertoGold Posted August 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2009 First time for us with edocs. Can't say this is going very smoothly. In the past, HAL faxed the TA (or the passenger if booked directly with HAL) a notice of the Visa requirements and then sent a duplicate of that info with the mailed documents. Printed out our boarding passes this afternoon and can't find any information on the required Visa for China. TA has gone AWOL for the last week (vacation?) and we would really like to get this done. So, has anyone had experience with edocs on a cruise where a visa is required? Anyone know how HAL is notifying passengers now? Does anyone know who to email or phone at HAL? Thanks for any inforamation! SilvertoGold
jcrandle Posted August 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Assuming that you are a US citizen, the HAL website directs you to this visa service http://cir.zvs.com/tourkits/tourkits.aspx There may also be more info on the website where you check in for your cruise and print your signature preferred boarding pass, but that area is available only to passengers booked on your cruise. YXU AC*SE Posted August 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2009 So, has anyone had experience with edocs on a cruise where a visa is required? Anyone know how HAL is notifying passengers now? Does anyone know who to email or phone at HAL? For our upcoming Eastern Med / Black Sea itin, HAL sent (via DHL) a 'Dear Guest' letter with the visa requirements (for Russia) spelled out using both Zierer Visa Service and steps required should one wish to independently obtain. Our cruise date is 03rd October and we received the letter on 13 July. We opted for e-docs. Sadly, there was no follow up info on the letter as to who to contact at HAL. Scott.
