Carnival Liberty

Hello Fellow Cruisers:

I'm trying to help out a first time cruiser who is cruising on the Liberty 9/26. Does the Liberty have the liquid soap and shampoo in the shower? I remember seeing this on the Freedom last year.

Also can someone provide me with the link to the must take list? I already provided my friend with some stuff but I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Also if you have any advise on the Liberty, let me know. My friend is a senior citizen so I'm finding it hard to help her as to what to do during the day and night other than sitting by the pool , lol...

Thanks!:D

We just got off the Liberty last week and they do have liquid soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower.

As far as what to do, I am usually in the casino or by the pool, but for seniors there is always bingo.:)

I've been on this ship twice. They have live disco, calypso, jazz and some retro music bands during the day. Also, the triva, library, game shows & bingo. I have a couple of recommendations for her.

-Try the Fish & Chips on the 10th deck, it closes at 3, but it's soo good. They have fish, calamari and the oysters are really good.

-Try the Jardin Cafe they have shakes, cakes, cheese cake, choc covered strawberries to try & the prices are really cheap from $1-$5.

-Most shows are in the Venetian Palace, try to get there early if you want to sit on the lower level because the lower level seats fill up fast as opposed to the ones on the upper level.

-The main 24 hour ice cream machine on the Lido deck closes early but there is another ice cream machine all the way in the back that stays open where the 24 hour pizza is located. It's also another pool back there if you like a lil privacy.

I really don't have anything to not tell her to do. Everything is so nice. Just tell her to keep an open mind, take plenty of pics & on the first day walk around the ship so that she can familarize herself with the ship, which I know you already know. ;)

There is a stir fry station that is opened from 11:30 to 2:30.

Most people are hoping in the first line they see at the buffet. Not all stations are serving the same thing.

For the stir fry--- take a tray off another station. grab two bowls. one for veggies and another for meats-- you pick what you want-- then move down to the wok station where they cook it to order.

I hope they have this station on the Freedom.

Huh? ;)

Yeah, it sounds funny. There is round the clock 24 hour ice cream service but no 1 machine stays on for full the 24 hours, they just rotate the machines. Hope that makes sense. They have 3 ice cream machines on the Lido deck, 1 may be closed down so that they can refill it or clean it but the other ones will be open. There will always be at least 1 open up so that ice cream can be enjoyed around the clock.

I think that the best advice is to have their map with them and learn the ship to avoid too much walking. This was a great ship and I know that their cruise will be full of wonderful memories. If they have a digital camera have them take more pictures than they normally would. I never have enough. Please let us know how their cruise was.>>Believer
