erniesband Posted December 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2004 We're booked there for 1/16; will post on our return. TripAdvisor.com has favorable reports.
zuggie Posted December 28, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2004 Haven't stayed there, but have been there several times. Great location right in the heart of Old Town. There's a neat restaurant called the Panorama on the top floor. It's an outdoor terrace with a great view that overlooks Old Town and the bay. It's reasonably priced, very good, and very romantic. First time we went there for a drink, and second time for dinner.
RichardK Posted December 28, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2004 Impressions after my stay a few years back: *Very Clean room (almost hospital sanitized) *Reasonably priced *Centrally located in OSJ *Can't walk to the pier - any pier *Had a 2-night minimum stay *Staff not all that friendly, yet courteous *Nice rooftop restaurant for lunch, however, can do much better elsewhere for dinner *Free continental breakfast daily
HeidisCruises Posted December 28, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2004 I agree with everything above, except we found the staff to be very friendly. One thing to note, is we had a front room facing the street. The streets are rockin' until very late, so it was a little noisy. Breakfast on roof was a really nice way to start the day. Nancy_Hawks Posted January 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2005 It is in a great location. We walked everywhere. It was reasonably priced. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms where nice & clean, but don't expect anything special. We heard about the restaurant upstairs, but we never got around to eating there. There were just so many recomendations for other great restaurants within walking distance. And you can walk to the OSJ Piers, but not the Pan Am pier. MSUcruisers Posted January 19, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2005 We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Milano in 2001. For those who may consider staying there, you may want to check Ebay since it is listed there.
