Lair Bear Posted August 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Just a little west of Amsterdam is another wonderful city to explore on foot. If you have seen a good deal of Amsterdam and would like to see its bedroom community from the middleages, go to Haarlem, Holland (not Harlem, New York). It takes a few minutes by train to get there and then you can experience some great sites including the Frans Hals Museum, the Grote Markt and the St Bavo church. The walk I put together is less than three miles, but there are so many things to see that you should count on spending most of the day there. If you are interested have a look at http://www.*****.com/haarlem. The other three walks for Amsterdam, Bruges and Tallinn can also be found on our web site. Just change the ‘haarlem’ in the URL to one of the above.
