Luggage storage in Venice

We have an afternoon flight from Venice following our cruise from Barcelona on 7th September - can anyone tell me how long you can leave your luggage at the port or is there somewhere else to store it till noon?

 

I assume that we will have to leave the ship by 8.30 am
