Rainbow, Cane Bay or another

There are 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 kids. We want snorkeling, lounge chairs, bathroom facilities and a great sandy beach with little current for the kids. Which of the above beaches do you recommend and the best way to get there? Or is there another one that you recommend? We are thinking about renting a car but we may just taxi over if we can come up with a plan. Or is there a cheaper way?

Of the two you asked about, Cane Bay. It has good snorkeling, you can rent chairs at the dive shop or the beach bar, bathrooms at the two restaurants/bars, beach is sandy and the water is usually calm. You can take a taxi, about 20-25 minute drive, around $10 pp, one way.

Rainbow beach is about 1 mile north of the cruise ship pier. $6.00 round trip taxi PP. chairs and umbreallas are available to rent, on site resturaunt bar, bathrooms, there is also a water sports tent with jet skis, kayaks, and snorkeling gear. The water at Rainbow is always calm and typically sand without sea grass. it is on the west end so theres not as much surf.
