2008 Hurricane Ike - Grand Turk still pretty??

Has anyone been to Grand Turk since Ike hit it in 2008? Is it still pretty or still recovering? I had read that someone said that all the fish were gone from the reefs making for poor snorkeling. Would Tortula be in better shape?

Thanks

Scott

We were there last November during a cruise on the Eurodam and you could still see damage in the buildings and it was obvious a lot of trees had suffered damage. We didn't do any snorkling so I don't know about the fish. You probably would have better luck asking this question on the port's board for Grand Turk or checking the various posts there. Here's a link to it.

You can also check the Tortula board.

Good luck and have a great next cruise.
