jeanrtco Posted August 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2009 booked grande suite and Family suite wondering if anyone knows what perks, do they have the reserved pool and theater seats? Not sure it is worth the money for these suites unless perks are worth it. thanks jean

jeanrtco Posted August 19, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted August 19, 2009 thanks when phoning rccl they just don't know, so it looks like reserved seats at pool and theater are not on the splendour. I also asked about luggage transfer and they said there was not complimentary luggage transfer???? Did you stay at a hotel pre cruise? if so, how did you get from airport to hotel and then hotel to the port? thanks for the info. jean

Did you stay at a hotel pre cruise? if so, how did you get from airport to hotel and then hotel to the port? thanks for the info. jean We did custom air and also our pre-cruise hotel was through RCI. Once we arrived in Santiago, Chile we were transferred from airport to hotel and then hotel to the port of Valparaiso. At the conclusion of our consecutive cruise we arrived in Lisbon, we stayed one night post cruise that was booked again through RCI, so we were transferred from port to hotel and then to the airport the following morning. Transfers are always included when you do air and pre/post cruise hotels through RCI......but you pay for them, they are not complimentary. If you are doing your own air, but have booked one of their hotels pre-cruise, then you would have to make your own arrangements to get from the airport to the hotel, but RCI would get you from hotel to the port. If you are doing your own air and your own hotel, then you would have to make your own arrangements to get to the hotel as well as to the port. RCI is correct in that transfers are not complimentary. If you do custom air and arrive on the day of sailing., then the cost of the transfers is included in your airfare. If you do your own air and arrive on the same day, you can purchase transfers to the port through your RCI agent or TA.
