poopbag28 Posted August 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2009 IMO the best food on the entire island is at Hemmingway's at the Hyatt. We own a residence at the Ritz and eat several times each stay at Blue (Ritz's signature restaurant) and IMO it is "second fiddle" to Hemmingway's. Lunch for 2 will be around $75;dinner arount $125 for 2. All that being said I don't think I have EVER eaten at a bad restaurant anywhere on GCM! Even the Paradise restaurant has a great turtle burger ( its similar to lean sweet beef)

Even the Paradise restaurant has a great turtle burger ( its similar to lean sweet beef) While Hemmingway's and Blue are exceptional restaurants, they do not serve authentic Caymanian cuisine. If you want local Caymanian cuisine, then I would suggest Champion House II Restaurant in George Town, or Miss Vivine's Kitchen in East End, or South Coast Bar & Grill in Bodden Town. Or if you want a little Jerk Chicken, there is Seymour's Jerk Center, located just a ways down from Champion House II Restaurant. These are the best restaurants that serve authentic local cuisine, with flavors from the other Caribbean islands.
