duroce Posted August 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2009 We are looking at HAL cruises out of Fort Lauderdale. The ship is more important than the itinerary. In studying these boards, I have read many positive remarks about both ships. What would make you pick one over the other? Many thanks!!

Hi duroce, Basic answer is having been on the ship (Westerdam) BUT, we'd have chosen any other HAL ship that had the exact same price, itenirary, dates of sailing 7 through 21 Feb, 2010 and cost. RuthC Posted August 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2009 I've sailed the E-dam, so I would pick the Westerdam. Partly to add another ship to the collection, and partly because I didn't care for the E-dam. It's too crowded, and I don't like the cabanas by the Lido pool. The aft pool area is too busy, too. I also don't care for the furniture in the Pinnacle Bar. I am booked on the Westerdam, and hope I like it as much as I do the Noordam.
