Pier to Barcelona airport question

Our Oceania ship arrives in Barcelona at 5:00 AM Will we have a problem getting on a 10:00AM flight to the Amsterdam? We are using the ship's transfer service. Thanks

Depends on how quickly the ship is cleared through customs, a process over which you do not and cannot have any control.

 

The trip from Harbor to Airport is 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffic, and if you are using the ships transfer you'll need to factor in time to load a bus up at the dock and unload it in the airport. All in all I'd say that you were cutting it fairly close

 

Still, this is one of those gray areas where you just cannot predict what will happen, so, you have to hope for the best and expect the worse (i.e. factor in cushion time).

 

If I had my druthers, though, I'd schedule a flight for noon or later.

When we arrived in Barcelona on Insignia acoupleof years ago we were escorted by O personnel right to the airport where they helped us load luggage on carts and led us to our correct departure area. It is a very large airport and the service O gave at the end of the cruise was first class. :):)
