Cabo San Lucas

We will be on the Diamond Princess in February. In Cabo San Lucas, how much does a taxi cost to go from the pier to Medano Beach? How many passengers can fit into a taxi? And are there taxis to take you back to the pier when you are ready to leave the beach? Also are there lounges on the beach for rental?

We were just in Cabo and took a water taxi to Medano Beach. It isnt far from the pier so it shouldnt be that expensive. The water taxi was $3 a person round trip. Of course you have to go out of a boat and wade a bit but that was half the fun. We went to The Office on medano beach. It was fabulous. We had 2 for 1 drinks and the best Baja Burritos. We had three orders. You will love the atmosphere over there, and a great view.:p

Definately do the water taxi, it's the quickest. Also be certain not to walk it. We did on the way back, all the way around the marina (which is a nice walk), but it takes about 40 minutes since you're making a big "U" around the marina. In this case looks can be deceiving as the tender pier looks like it's just a 5 minute walk from Medano Beach. On Medano Beach there's some real good beach-front taquerias and water sports vendors if you're up for that.

Jeanb, we did a tour thorugh Celebrity to Land's End and a scenic ride of Cabos for approximately 3 hours, which we really enjoyed...

 

Afterwards, we took a cab from the pier to Medano Beach. Cost by land taxi was $4.00. We normally don't drink but had 2 for 1 Margarita at the Office beach bar/restaurant (which we thought was very concentrated!!! ). There were some fun shows on the beach...There were plenty of cabs in front of the Office to get back to the ship...You'll have a great time there...

We are going on the 11 day Mercury on 2/7. Do you suggest that we pesos, or is the dollar widely accepted?
