ColumbiaSC Posted August 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2009 I notice that the BALMORAL of Fred. Olsen has a good many Single Cabins of various sizes, and I notice that the BALMORAL is going on an interesting World Cruise in January 2011. As a solo, I loved the Single Cabin in the old QE2. Why does Fred. Olsen brochure or online on the website for the firm talk about the price being based on Double Occupancy when the price (as appropriate) is for a Single Cabin? Am I being totally obtuse? (I do realize that the price of a Single Cabin is really more than the price of someone in a cabin with another person, but not out of line.) Goldryder Posted August 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2009 When looking at the cruises on the FOCL website it lists each category along with the fare for that category. The base price is on twin occupancy, but if you look at the cabin pricing, it shows the single amount that you would pay, not the twin, the wording is there since most of the cabins are twins and that is what most people associate with.... http://www.fredolsencruises.com/plan-cruise/cruise-details/l1101 J O/S Superior Single Limited £22,879 JB Single Balcony Suite Call for Latest Status £25,809 K Single Outside Cabin Good £19,939 L Outside Single Call for Latest Status £18,769 M Superior I/S Single Limited £17,009 N Inside Single Limited £15,
