Renaissance Fort Lauderdale on Hotwire

While checking on some future dates for hotels in Fort Lauderdale, I noticed that Hotwire has changed the Renaissance on 17th from a 3 1/2 star to a 4 star hotel.

You might try priceline.com - it is a 4 star downtown and has been hitting regularly - I got a room for $59 in October.

It is a 4 star on Priceline and I also got it for 65.00 in October. I've seen it anywhere from $ 59- $70 Good luck.

I'm looking all the way out to 4/19/2010. Hotwire shows what I believe to be the Renaissance as a 4 star for $102 plus tax and fees. I have plenty of time to work Priceline for those same dates.

Interestingly, lastminutetravel.com shows the Hilton Marina for $77 plus taxes and fees for the same dates.

Maybe the lodging industry really is hurting as much as some pundits say!!!

We got the Ren for 4/22 through 4/24 for $80 a nite on priceline. This is an excellent rate as that weekend is fleet week and the airshow. So if you can do a bid now you might want to try it -- as that week will not likely go down in price as the dates get closer.
