When do price drops usually occur?

Our cruise that we are watching is for March 2010.

We have to sit tight for a couple months to see if our finances improve. Early saver for an 8b is$739.00. Wonder which way the price will go???

Carnival reserves the right to change the prices 4 times a day. It seems lately that is just what they have been doing. The prices have been going down and in a couple days they go back up. Go figure.

Think carefully about the Early Saver - there are some serious restrictions, and many have come on here regretting that choice.

 

You can often get rates as good as ES by booking a group rate. See if there is a group cruise here that would suit you.

 

Also, if you book the non-ES fare, with a decent TA, you can just call and get a price reduction if the price goes down. I have done that twice for my 2010 Hawaii cruise on NCL. Price has come way, way down since I booked it.

 

The ES rates have a "price protection" feature but my point is you do not have to book ES to get that.

Overall I agree. You have to look at all the options that are available. And please read all the small print before booking. It will save a lot of heart burn later.
