Holland vs RCCL

We are considering booking on the Eurodam, and have never traveled on HAL- always on RCCL and NCL. Will be traveling with 2 teenagers ( 18 and 15) and are worried about the lack of young people on board.

Hi there,

If you are sailing over a holiday or school vacation on a 7 day sailing there should be about 100-300 kids on board. High for HAL standards.

We have sailed CCL,RCL, and most recently spring break 09 on Westerdam with our 13 & 15 year old children. We all enjoyed HAL's nice touch of class, relaxed atmosphere with only 2000 passengers on board, and itinerary so much, we have booked Eurodam spring break 2010.

Can't wait!:D

Half Moon Cay, private island, is the absolute best beach day.

We got back from a Holland America Line cruise in July that had quite a few young people on board.

Two rules of thumb to keep in mind:

- The longer the cruise, the older the crowd.

- Schoolchildren (and school teenagers) are more likely to be seen during school holidays.
