Back from Baltic on Celebrity, NO problems SPB

Recommended Posts

Just had a wonderful time on our recent trip to the Baltic. In SPB we had a private tour with Anastasia :D and it was great (highly recommend this company and we already miss Eugenna and Vald). We were concerned becaue of all the problems others reported getting off the ship in SPB. We were given NO warnings about problems getting off the ship if we had a private tour in SBP or that the ship tours needed to go first. We went to guest relations and gave them a copy of our tour package and they maked us down on a list and asked us to meet in the upper bar at 7:15. After the Moscow people disembarked we were told that we were free to go and had no problems. The only issue was that alocal tour operater tried to get us to go to a different line (private tours one immagration agent vs the cruise tours three agents) which we said thanks but no thanks. They warned us that there was a list of the ship tours and we would not be allowed to leave. We walked up and went right through the line just like the other ship cruise tour people. The Celebrity Constellation staff was wonderful and we were on our private tour at 7:40. Thanks to all the staff with Celebrity Constellation and especailly to Celebrity for deciding they did not want to cause anymore problems. This was our first cruise with Celebrity and we were extrememly pleased with all aspects, even the entertainment. Can't wait to go back on Celebrity and the Baltic is beautiful!!!

We are cruising next May and have also contacted Anastasia. She has sent us a basic tour which actually does hit almost every place we hoped to see. We are a couple traveling alone and have asked Anastasia to "hook us up" with another couple if possible. Did you have a large group? What would you suggest as far as the best part of your tour with Anastasia? Planning is so much fun and it extends the cruise. thanks.

We are also on a Baltic cruise in May and are booked with Anastasia. Could you tell me about the restaurants you chose to eat at on both days? We are doing a custom tour as some of us have been there before and some not, so it is a mix of the must sees and requests. We were thinking about the Old Tower Restaurant in Pushkin and maybe one of those "pie shops" or blini places in town. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
