cab fare from FLL to downtown Miami

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am looking at flight options next April, and am considering flying to FLL instead of MIA, but need to factor in ground transportation as we are flying in a day early. Has anyone taken a cab or shuttle from FLL to downtown and what was the cost. There are 5 of us.

Thanks.

Scott

I found a few threads about this from a couple of weeks ago:

A taxi would cost about $70 depending on the the traffic but you would probably need two taxis for 5 people. If you go outside the baggage claim area in FLL there is a kiosk for Tricounty Limo. They have a share-a-ride van that is $15 per person, but it may make multiple stops. A town car is usually $55 to Miami but you would probably need a larger vehicle. Check with them at the kioskwhen you arrive.

Donuts, is there anything they can't do....

Look into having a limo service meet you. Very often, it is considerably cheaper to have a limo take the entire party in one vehicle than to take a taxi or van. Plus, you can start the party on the way down! free drinks!

The website for Tricounty is www.floridalimo.com. We used their share-a-ride service but there were only 2 of us. I hope this helps!

We stayed pre-cruise last September in Ft Lauderdale at the Marriott Marina. We booked Bradleys Executive Limo ( 12 passenger stretch) for the four of us. Plenty of room in the trunk for all of the luggage and a comfy 40 minute ride to Miami Port. The cost was $87.00.

The share a ride was $15 each. Town car was $60 , taxi was $60 plus tip. We decided for the few dollars difference we would splurge on the limo and we are so glad we did.
