anyone know taxi fare from Long Beach Pier to Long Beach airport?

I posted this on "Western Departures" thread but no replies so thought I would see if I get any nibbles here.

Super shuttle seems a little spendy: $17 a person x3 people. I called them and they charge more for LGB than LAX as they always have vans at LAX but LGB requires a van to be sent for the reservation. Considering a taxi...

We flew into LGB for a cruise in April. Had read a taxi was about $40-$50.

 

We used Super Shuttle with a coupon so it was $14 each BUT at the airport walking to the Super Shuttle area there were some vans taking people to the port for $10 each, no reservations needed.

 

Next time we'll wait until we get to the port.

Taxi from San Pedro to LGB was about $45 for us last Nov. Carnival docks further to the east so it may be slightly different, but this would be ballpark amount I would think.

With tip we paid $45.

With tip we paid $40.00. We met a couple on our flight that were going on the same cruise so we shared the cab. We got the senior rate so the tip was about $13.00.
