TravelLots Posted June 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2017 So, we're leaving out of New Orleans and I want to show my godson at least a little of this great city. But we will only have the morning to do it. They're are some highly rated tours on Trip Advisor but I don't know what to pick. Anyone take a nice, inexpensive walking tour of the French Quarter? WVU_Neal Posted June 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2017 My wife and I were in New Orleans a few months ago. If I recall, we signed up for one of the Free Walking Tours. It was informative with lots of history about the area. Very well done.

Msrigby Posted June 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2017 National parks service conducts free tours. Check the site. After the tour wander about on your own. French Quarter is very compact and easy. Don't miss johnnys Po boy. Best shrimp grits. I even have them for breakfast. Biscuit and eggs r also great. HLNFan Posted June 6, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2017 The first time we went to New Orleans for a cruise, we rode all three street car lines for one fee. It was a great way to see the city. And we did it all the morning before we boarded.
