If you are off the ship by 7 am, you should have no problem with a taxi to the airport. There is a short queue you might wait 10-15 minutes and its about a 25 minute ride. Just make sure you know which terminal at BCN you are flying out of as the driver will ask.

We went to Punta Cana, DR Dec 6-16, flying out of Toronto and on our return my wife and I received an email from TTP/Nexus stating there was a message in our account. We logged on and were informed our status for our Nexus renewal had been changed from interview pending to approved. Our new cards arrived yesterday and today and both have been activated.

We renewed our Nexus last year and this July, both of us were conditionally approved pending an interview. We went to Punta Cana, DR, Dec 6-16 and last week we received emails from TTP/Nexus stating our status changed to fully approved. We can start using the benefits of Nexus once our new cards have been issued.

I have had a US$ Visa card for years and use it for cruising. I don't let the cruise line use their exchange rate.

I'm surprised they still title them as Ship Safety Bulletins since that name is antiquated. As a former inspector with TCMS, the organization started as CSI (Canada Steamship Inspection), then CGSSB (Coast Guard Ship Safety Branch) and now TCMS (Transport Canada Marine Safety).

We will be sailing round trip from Barcelona on a back to back 19 night Celebrity cruise. Koodo has an international plan for $15/day for one phone which we find expensive. I am looking for options to use one phone in Europe as we will be receiving text messages. Any suggestions are most welcome.

We visit Santa Margherita and the Celebrity site states we are docked. Can anyone confirm if the ship can dock in the small port, do they use tenders or do we dock in Genoa? We are deciding on a self walking tour or a ship tour.

We are booked on a 19 night Med cruise Sept 2023 and would like opinions on what currency to use for tipping on board. The ship will be using US$ and the countries we are visiting will be in Euros. Should we tip in US$ so crew can purchase items on board or send money home or Euros to purchase items ashore.
