Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I’d like more outdoor eating areas. More deck space too. I remember years ago we went on the Norweigen spirit before they refurbed and they had a great decent size outdoor seating area at the back of the buffet at the aft. That’s gone and we’ve never had anything match it since. longer opening for the buffet for snacks at night. Because I’m greedy lol the sky Princess it was open to 10.30pm which was great. I hear from the USA it’s open until 9.30. I’d prefer later. although I’ve not experienced it yet I do like the sound of the buffet set up on the Sun Princess where they serve you. it’s clear that so many don’t even bother to wash / sanitise hands and when you can’t trust people to do the basics, best have the staff serve you and be the only ones to handle the tongs. what can we do to make the elevator situation better? 🤔 more of them? Or info on screens showing you which ones are busier so you can decide if it’s worth moving to aft or forwards lifts? P&O have just started showing a stop light system on screens by places you eat, letting you know when it’s quieter, getting busy, and at its busiest. Worked quite well I think. I really like the Cinema on Arvia and think you can easily put that on other ships. In addition to MUTS i love the idea of conservatory suites but not going straight onto a deck! The ones on P&O Arvia that are on the promenade deck are imo a daft idea. People sitting against your balcony railing and no sea view. Somtimes you are looking straight at a hot tub! chocolates on pillows was mentioned. yes. And bring back towel animals 🙏 I love the sound of larger libraries. Quiet zones but with places to charge up devices while you sit and chill too. Keep areas used to play board games & provide some to borrow, like they had in the crown grill during the day on Sky Princess. more Mocktail choices and smoothies available. and binoculars in every cabin/suite with a balcony. and nightlights you can turn off without the use of duct tape 😂
  2. I’d like some designated staff whose job is to assist those with disabilities. That’s all their role is. Trained to understand & recognise the difficulties of travel when disabled and a good understand of what helps. Understand Visible and invisible illnesses. A trouble shooter and enabler. They can liase with other staff to help make as much as possible accessible to all. It doesn’t need to be a huge group of staff but having some disability specialists on board means a few staff get specific and more enhanced training than the limited training other staff get alongside there other considerably large duties. if you have notified Princess of a disability you get a the details of person to contact for advice/ help. I’m NOT talking bout them being a carer! But there are enough disabled people on board to keep a specialist busy making sure as many barriers to enjoyment as possible are removed
  3. Or they could offer wireless headphones where you control the volume. I’m not saying make MUTS quiet, and only have headphones, but have enough headphones to help out those who want it louder
  4. As a neurodivergent person I LOVE this idea. Or at least various lounges having designated quiet times listed in the patter
  5. There’s something never done before at sea. Shush. You’ll give Princess ideas 😂
  6. And the UK. the one thing I don’t like about sailing on Princess and other US based ships. The smoke in the casino 🤢 I don’t even play BUT the smell travels out of the casino and if I need to walk through it, it’s horrid. I’m sure they think that as it’s the only indoor place you can smoke it keeps smokers by the machines playing more. But I think we are at a point, in 2024, where it puts off more people than it keeps there In the uk we’re just not used to it I guess. Smoking is banned in all indoor places. All hotel rooms, all pubs and restaurants, everywhere
  7. Can they set it to beep when they have just put out your favourite cake/cookie in the IC or buffet? asking for a friend….
  8. Thank you for doing this live. Eek we have booked the Hotel you had problems with and can’t cancel 😧 but when we get to it at 7pm it’s going to feel like early hours of the morning coming from England so I’m just hoping the beds are comfy enough. If needed I’m getting on the ship smelly (sorry to anyone on the 10th August repositioning 😂) and use the shower in the cabin in the afternoon / before dinner. Heard rumours on the pineapple stickers. Interesting and not personally interested is all I’m saying 😂 just hoping my 11year old doesn’t see one and ask why. “They must just really love pineapples” lol
  9. Hi, thanks so much for doing the live from. We are on Enchanted on the August Repositioning cruise, Caribbean to NYC, and are loving seeing what you are up to and how you find the ship. We are a family of 3 from the UK and have never cruised outside Europe before! This will be our second cruise with Princess. 1st was on Sky from Southampton. I hear Enchanted is almost identical to Sky which suits us as Sky Princess was fabulous Enjoy your cruise!
  10. Thank you! That would be great if you get a chance. No worries if not though. Enjoy your cruise 😃
  11. i hope you have a fabulous time too 😊 if only we could add the Canada & New England to ours too! maybe one day, when the 11yr old daughter is grown & independent! I’ll look after Enchanted for you and try and post here my thoughts. ive been on Sky and I loved her so I’m confident I’ll like her sister ship.
  12. Recently? Or does that not matter? I’ll ask and see what happens
  13. So it’s probably a no for the Enchanted then. Ah well. I’ll get myself a decent thermos!
  14. Which sailing? We are on a 2 week from the 10th August. We are looking forward to it too. First time sailing from outside Europe and 1st Caribbean cruise ever. Exciting!
  15. I like the flexibility it seems like it will provide. I’d still prefer to reserve our times but if we can’t we can try for a walk in. Or if we forget to reserve or change our mind we can adjust accordingly and I’m happy for those who prefer traditional dining too. I know getting rid of it has been really unpopular. So, as long as they implement this well and the tech works, it could make things less stressful & more flexible
