  1. Yea, we went back in April and they charged us $30/pp, which was an overkill for what it was but it was something interesting to do while we were in port I guess.
  2. Good luck and hopefully it works out for you.
  3. @crewsweeper We have never done a private catamaran before. The only time we've done snorkeling by boat in Cozumel was the El Cielo that including snorkeling at Palancar, Columbia and El Ciello and it wasn't private. We booked using Cozumel Cruise Excursions dot net. The only other boat related excursion we did was to the Pearl Farm and it wasn't private either. So I'm not sure what you are referring to?
  4. That is stunningly beautiful it almost doesn't look real...like a postcard. WOW!
  5. BTW…we are currenty in St Croix on vacation… and like always, it’s a Mitsugirly vacation with thrills and this time some chills….a Tropical Storm (tomorrow) turning into a Hurricane (high probability) on the day we are supposed to leave after being here 10 days…it looks like it may be an extended vacation…true Mitsugirly fashion. Never a dull moment. Keep us in your thoughts as we ride this thing out. 😬 🫣
  6. Well, I’m a person of a thousand and one questions when I book something so I always email the company before actually booking so that I feel satisfied with my choice. I see they have that option from Amber Cove. I would reach out to them with any questions. They responded fairly quick to me when I reached out. Plenty of places only take PayPal and honestly I like this because it adds protection that you can get your money back if something is sketch and you don’t get the service. Most places that will only take PayPal can send you a request for payment and you can use a credit card to pay using PayPal. Super easy.
  7. Since I don’t know anything about these area’s, is this a good thing or bad? Bravo! I hope you have the experience we did. When are you going?
  8. Aww thanks so much! I appreciate it and glad I’ve been some help. You will LOVE Isla Mujeres! We still talk about it all the time saying it was one of our favorites!
  9. Thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed the review. We were watching some of the videos/pictures during the "talk" they give on cruises available and Iceland to Norway looked so amazing! It definitely went on our radar along with Alaskan. So sad to hear about them closing their ports. I will definitely have to look into this for next year before they close. So many places and not enough time. 😄 I did not know about Canada and scuba diving. It makes me wonder what you would see there. I used to go to Canada when I was young and in my early 20's. Never thought a Canada cruise would suit us (you know how much we love the beaches). I guess I need to keep researching. 🙂
  10. The only thing I can think of is snorkeling last after a hot day of seeing the sites it would be nice to cool off with snorkeling instead of getting wet and sticky then driving around (unless you plan on changing). We also just went to PV and although we did a discover scuba dive, they still do snorkeling at Los Arcos and we seen the most amazing fish! HERE
  11. The best place to go that is on the side of the island close to the cruise pier would be to snorkel from Boca Catalina to Arashi. It's a super easy, not deep, snorkel with a lot to see. A lot of the boat tour excursions will bring them there to snorkel when it's so easy to do it on your own. Here's several reviews with tons of pictures from our times there. BOCA BOCA BOCA BOCA BOCA

    Arashi beach

Yes, the bus goes all the way to Arashi and turns around and comes back.
  13. Yea, way too cold for my taste for sure! Brrrrr ❄️ I guess it was a trade off for seeing the whales. That made the entire trip (and the scuba dive) worth all the coldness that was thrown at me. 😄
  14. Thanks! The time we've been we only did the Buck Island tour so didn't get to explore the island itself so we are super excited!
  15. So....I see that people are still following this thread. For those of you still following...we have picked our next "land" destination. WE ARE GOING TO ST CROIX!! 😁
