2nd the travel adapter, I bring one with a USB built in so I can charge my phone too.

They were turning people away if it wasn't their time yet and I saw a few folk sitting in their cars. At first, I was wondering why anyone would be in their car when they could get on the ship, but seemed they just of arrived too early.
-
You'll probably get seated with other solos at that time.
-
Curious what time you arrived for departure? I did a cruise back in Dec, the drop off luggage line was long, but it kept moving.
Glad you had an overall nice experience.
-
I did and seemed to get re-assigned one right away. They called and texted, but I don't really have anything upcoming to book.
-
We did an excursion and had no trouble finding an available clamshell after. It was near a lifeguard and relatively close to the food at lunchtime. If your mom is disabled, I don't think she will want to walk further down the beach for possibly free shade.

I was first time gold in my last sailing, there is a bug so they don't see it in the bar system so I got charged for the drink. Guest services fixed it easily.

What kind of pick up are you scheduling? Just wondering on their flexibility because it basically depends on when you get back into port, which can vary from week to week. I think on last week's return, they didn't get back until noon because of weather. Back in Dec, we got into port probably before 8 and got off just before 10.

I've really enjoyed Paradise Cove/Deadman's Reef in the past, it's fun snorkeling and there is a little snack bar.

are the stores in the town open?
Many seemed to be open in Dec, some have moved locations, straw market seemed to be getting started back up as well.

If you have other stops with better beaches, I would skip Junkanoo. Nothing really special there if you have other things to do.
-
There are some loungers down there, but not as many. You might have to drag it to where shade is.
I would get the clamshell myself, didn't feel cramped and was close to the lunch spot.
-
Usually that would be fine, but looks like this Sunday they didn't come into port until noon due to weather.

“there's the 12 cans of soda you can carry on also.”Do they have to be cans?

I haven't either but it certainly is on the cdc site which Carnival provides direct links to and clear as the nose on your face, it says you can fly with the letter and no other retesting is actually required. Maybe because it's a ship? I dunno, but it certainly doesn't mention it. Oh, both my tests were rapid antigen.
It's listed on the CDC site, but not Carnival's site at all. I would imagine it is to avoid unvax folks present them and avoid testing entirely. And if we really want to go with what the CDC says, the first thing is to avoid cruise travel...
Really surprised your antigen tests would still report positive, would not be surprised with PCR as those are more sensitive and where people might continue to test positive for months after.I would try to periodically test with at home antigen test if you have them available.
-
What kind of test did they do at your physical? Rapid antigen or PCR?
I had covid earlier this month, was worried about continuing to test positive, but tested negative in less than two weeks even on a PCR.
Do you have some at home antigen tests you can try? I've not really seen anything from Carnival about accepting a recovery letter.

I would download whatever you wanted to watch to a tablet/chromebook/laptop. The TV is kinda tiny in the room anyway.

Is this one cabin or two cabins? Not that I know what would actually happen. My guess is that the two in one cabin would be ok. The other two with one positive might be denied boarding unless the positive was a no show...

Can I cruise with your husband to get his RU2?
I get RU2 offers, I've thought about offering it out to reduce my solo supplement if I went alone, lol.

Legend visited HMC last week. It's a tender port so even if open, weather could prevent you from going ashore.

There is cellular at sea that is super expensive. Carnival offers internet packages that are quite reasonable if he can work/ be reached in that manner instead.

Still have it.
Behind the Scenes Tour

I don't believe you go into the engine room, but the engine control room that is just a bunch of computers. However, still a worthwhile tour, we got to on the bridge briefly the last time I went on the tour.
