  1. Hi.

    We did Bananarama last November.

We booked transportation with shoreexcursioneer.com and it was 29 $ pP.

We met our driver right outside the port and at the beach Club, she waited the whole day for us and watched our stuff while sorkeling until we were ready to go back to the port.

Cheap and very easy to deal with...would book them again next time.

First I also tried to use transportation with Bananarama directly but they never ansered my mails...so I booked with the other Company and all went fine.

  2. Hi there.

We will be on Key West as a stop on our cruise.

My husband will need a shave while we are in port.

Is there a Barber Shop you know in walking distance ?

I tried to find out something online but was not succesful.

Do we need a reservation or are walk ins possible ?

  3. Hi there.

I read hunderets of theads and still don´t know what to do , so maybe you guys can help me.

We are looking for a beach day in Roatan with snorkeling ( own equipment ).

I tried to contact Bananarama, but they do not respond for weeks now, or the mails are not going through for maybe technical reasons.

We just need a nice beach with restrooms and a bar and good snorkeling.

I understand that the best option will be West Bay.

Is it possible to go there on our own or book a roundtrip transportation with someone.

The Cruiseline Beach Break is around 70 $ with lunch, but that is not what we want.

    Any ideas??

  4. Hi there.

I have another question about the package.

I booked it now and hav my reservation for the second night.

I it right that I, once on the ship, see someone at the restaurant and make all 3 reservations ?

And what about the food ?

We never dined in one of the speciality restaurants and wonder what we can order from the menu?

I read something about several appetizers and sides and one entree or is it one appetizer and one entree and one side per person ?

  5. We did the same last year.

We stopped at a few bars and had a drink.

I think you only have to pay for the loungers on the beach, we always sat directly at the bar or on the sidewalk and never had to pay.

We loved the Lazy Lizzard. They also have good chicken wings and fish plates.

  6. We also bought some on St. Maarten. The cheapest we saw were right outside the cruise terminal where the street is. Walk to your left about half a block and there was a small hut from an animal shelter. They sell all sorts of things and lisence plates for about 5 $.

  7. Hi there.

    Bringing this thread up again.

We are also thinking about visiting the zoo.

We would take a taxi to the zoo in the morning and then need a taxi back to phillipsburg to do some shopping and cocktails on the beach.

Does anybody know the cost of the taxi from port to zoo ?

And how about getting back...I think at the zoo they can call a taxi for us that takes us to town ?

  8. Hi.

We have also never been to St.Kitts and thinking about a tour.

No I don´t know which one to take.

    Annie´s or Thenford ?????

I got a response from both and they offer nearly the same, the price is also nealry the same ( 48 $ and 45 $ ).

We do want an island tour but no beach...and shopping after the tour.

We will be in port from 10-6.

Any help to make a descision ???

  9. Hi.

We also went with stingraysiling and they were great.

We only had us and another couple on board, so it was like a private sailing with their catamaran.

I think usually they take only 12 people or somethink like that.

We went to the singrays and snorkeling and were back in port with plenty of time for shopping...

  10. Hi there.

I just want to tell you that it was not a problem at all.

There were no cooler bags on the ship, so i put ice in two zip plastic bags and this with the bottle in an other plastic bag in my beach bag.

It stayed cool enough for 3 hours until we opened the bottle, filled our plastic glasses and enjoyed the champagne on the beach.

We kept the bottle in the bag and nobody said a word, and we were sitting directly near by the beach monitor guy.

What a way to celebrate a Wedding Anniversary...could have it like this every year.

  11. We sure will have a beach bag with us.

The plastic champagne glasses are packed already.

I thought about one of these cooler bags they sell on board with beer in it and take it to the island and just want to ask at a bar if they can fill it with ice...I thought it will be the best way to cool the bottle.

And on the other hand I think it will not take very long to empty the bottle :p

  12. Hi there.

I´m reading this great forum now for several month, but never wrote anything. But now I got a question I can´t find an answer to.

Sorry if my english sounds someway strange, but I´m from Germany and english is not my first language.

I want to know if anybody thougt about bringing Champagne to Labadee. I know we will be allowed two bottles per room and when we are on Labadee we are celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and I thougt about bringing a bottle to the beach.

We will take plastic Champagne glasses with us but the bottle is still made of glass and I don´t know if it is allowed at the beach.

    Anybody an idea ??
