  2. I have the villa...now, how long are we at HMC? I also have priority tender...I hope we can utilize it most of the day...I cannot wait! Wish I vphad tried to get the villa a month ago! Nice score! Waiting for cabanas at princess Cays to open for Feb. 2019...
Priority tender only works for going to HMC, but you get to take the last tender off if you want to stay all day! When we were there on the Glory we were there from 9:15am to 4:15 (all back on ship time). So it depends on your ship itinerary what times you are there. When you get on the ship at embarkation, head over to Shore Excursions and select the Villa you want! Its first come first choice! I know you will love it there!
  3. We've gotten villas and cabanas in HMC and I never knew there was a shore excursion hut in HMC prior to this thread. We tender in to the island, hop on the bus and they take us right to the back of our villa or cabana (whichever we have at the time).
Typical Carnival with consistency! Sorry they didn't let you know :( The hut is just to the left after you walk into the fort walls. It's right by the bar and a lot smaller. All excursions got on the tender together, so there were lines but it went fast.
  4. There was no mention of that to us and we went straight to the Villa. I was referring to a ride on the way back. I don’t know how you could get one to pick you up. We just so happened to be walking on the road and the tram pulled up and we got on.
Weird, when we checked in on the ship to get our cabana number we wanted they gave is a paper that told us where to meet for excursions to board the ferry to HMC and to also check in at the shore excursions hut. That was on the glory last Jan. Also when they dropped us off, they stopped at a regular bus stop (one comes every 20 minutes), then walked us back to our cabana.
  5. When you get to HMC, you are expected to check in with shore excursions hut for the cabana/villas, this is where you let them know you need a ride. We stayed in #3 cabana, and still were given a ride as my friend uses a walker. We did not find the music loud and out of control when we were there. It also was not over crowded there either. Hope this helps!

  6. Update - Dining time issue has been resolved!

As of this morning, we have a confirmed dining assignment for both cabins. Woo hoo! Again, many thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

There are still a whole bunch of weird things happening with vanishing and reappearing drink packages, wifi and bottled water orders. That stuff probably won't get resolved before we sail, but hopefully we won't end up being charged twice for anything. So now...it's time to pack!

Yay! So happy they worked this out! Now you can have a great cruise!
  7. Thanks for all the input. I agree. The kids will be out and about (and even some of the adults) so it should be ok space wise. Good to hear about the food and drinks being plentiful, which is really one of the more important parts.

DW and I have FTTF so no worries about getting to the island early.

Looks like we are keeping the cabana.

    Thanks again!!

The food and drinks that they put in your cabana is fruit and chips and dip, you will still need to go to the BBQ hut for your lunch food. They will give you bottles of water and soda too, you get to pick that when you choose what color cabana you want at Shore Excursions Desk (do that on embarkation day). There are 4 chairs and 2 loungers with comfy pads and in front is more lounge chairs.

  8. Example of one I was in:

    · Slot Pull Director: __________________________.

    · Slot Pull Event to be held on first sea day 1/22/18 at 11;00 am in the casino. Sign-ups at 10:30 in casino bar just prior to event!

    · Players need to sign up on the roll call board, so a count can be totaled for a minimum of 15 players to proceed with planning the event. If 15 players are not committed, slot pull will not be held!

    · Slot pull to be held on first Sea Day at 11am in the casino.

    · Participation will be in the order of Slot Pull Registration sign up at the Casino bar beginning at 10:30 AM. Money will be collected and names put on the pull list. Or you may sign up at the Bon Voyage Lei Party on Embarkation day!

    · Give your name and $16 entry fee (exact cash please!) to the Slot Pull Director.

    · $15.00 will be put in the machine, with $1.00 going to the High roller prize pool (split if tied)!

If a registered player is not present when their name is called to pull, their name will be moved to the bottom of the list. You must play to take part in any winnings. If you are a “no show”, you will forfeit all shares of the winnings.

    · Show up on time to the designated meeting place for the Slot Pull.

    · No one may enter the Slot Pull after the first player makes their first pull.

    · Make note of where you are in the order for pulling, be ready to pull when it is your turn. If you are not around when it is your turn, you will take your turn after all other players have taken their turn. If you do not take your turn, money will be forfeited to prize pool!

    · Slot machine will be chosen by Slot Pull Director. The same slot machine will be used by all players.

    · When it is your turn you will have 5 - $3 pulls (this may vary depending on the machine chosen; your total pulls will add up to $15), plus any bonus spin rounds you may win. You will take all of your pulls consecutively.

    · If you are confused about how to operate the machine or how many pulls you have, ask the Slot Pull Director - they will be right next to the machine with you.

    · After your turn, remain in the area to be sure to get any winnings you are due.

    · All payouts will be paid immediately after the last pull is made and the money can be divided.

    · Player winnings will be paid from the equally divided money collected by the Slot Pull Director from the slot machine after the last player has made their last pull.

    · High Roller Pot (split if tied) will be paid to the player with highest total winnings during their turn.

    · In the event we hit a taxable jackpot, taxes will be deducted from earnings before winnings are paid by Slot Pull Director!

    · Slot Pull Director’s sign n sail card will be used and awarded all points as a thank you for their service!

Please be patient while any winnings are divided!

  10. OMG...glad 2 see you girls are still alive. But what a Princess Cruise after RCL ......... 2009, Pacific Coastal on Marinier with a Poker Cabin crawl, jello shots and a wild slot pull...what about those yellow Checkered shirts.....Great memories...
hahaha Yeah those were the days!!! I am doing a group cruise on Carnival's newest ship the Panorama (being built in 2019 first cruise is Dec 2019) in April 2020 this time! Hoping Janice can make it, her hubby is early retiring and they will be moving, so they are trying to figure this into the plans! My life has changed so much, my husband passed away unexpectedly Dec 2016, so I have just started cruising again, plus I have 3 grandchildren living close by lol Oh and I still have that yellow checkered shirt LOL Soooo good to see you still around too!
  11. Photo ID and SS card are all you need UNLESS you miss the ship or have a medical emergency that keeps you from boarding the ship! If it's in the safe the ship will give it to authorities if you ask the ship to do so. Otherwise you will be required to get a temp passport copy fees and charges.

  12. 2nd night
    Thank You!

Only one elegant night, the 2nd day, can you let me know how's the embarkation at long beach? I'm going in August. Are they doing stagger check in time? Earliest time I can sign up is 12:30 - 1. Thank you in advance.
Yes Long Beach is staggered check in and boarding. The long lines are in the morning, you should be able to walk right on the ship at that time :)
