That's funny, and shows you just how subjective food tastes are.
I was going to warn you to stay away from the paella! I think that RC's is terrible.
But do NOT miss the bread pudding during afternoon "snack" or "tea" time.
Honey stung chicken is hit or miss in quality. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is NOT.
Their french fries are excellent.
I had AWESOME satay in the Jade section for dinner; one night it was beef; another night it was chicken. YUMMMMM
The moroccan lamb soup was out of this world.
Fish chowder was good, too.
Don't eat the desserts that "wiggle".
Oh that's too bad about the Paella.. I have a great go to place over here in South Jersey that I'm a big fan of. So my expectations of it probably wouldn't be that high..
Love French Fries. I'm sure our friends across the pond love e dipping them in mayo.
Lamb soup something I've never had.. but will give it a try
Fish chowder could be a little to fishy. I'm more the bisque, NE clam type.. I do like the shellfish soup at Chickies/Petes.
Thanks for your suggestions

For me there are too many dishes "not to miss" in Windjammer. :o
But one I am partial to is the seafood paella.

Sailing on IOS at the end of December. I have read about the specialty restaurants such as Chops/Giovannis table. Seen the MDR menus. Seen room service menu, etc.
My question to you all is what are some of your favorite things in the Windjammer?? Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner -- Doesn't matter.
Do they have any international foods. Sushi/Chinese food/Kielbasy/Mexican food/Crab legs etc??

Cant say that I have ever stayed here before. There are two listed on TripAdvisor... Both with some really bad reviews. Also not a good area where either are located.

Are you going to be arriving in Baltimore early the day before you cruise or are you getting in that night? The reason I ask is because if you are getting in early and will have some time the day before, I would recommend the Inner Harbor area as there are shops, a mall, the National Aquarium, things to do and see. However, this area will be more expensive and if you have a car will probably cost you hefty daily parking charge as well. Also not a great place to be walking around after dark. I have stayed at the Residence Inn Inner Harbor as well as the Courtyard Inner Harbor and would recommend both.
If you would be just coming in the night before, I would recommend the Linthicum Heights area about 9 miles away from the port. Rates should be less expensive and you would be more likely to find something with a shuttle.
Here is the Baltimore Cruise port website that has some great info.

Hope this helps

LINTHCUM HEIGHTS is probably the best area. Lots of hotels in this area. Check TripAdvisor as well. One recommendation.. Stay away from he Embassy. Old. Loud, Dirty and very unaccommodating.

Gregg00ss, any report/pics on the jetski excursion. What kind of skis did they have? info/details appreciated on what you thought. Hope you had a great cruise..

Thank you Clarea. Have you heard of any schedule/timetable around to put these machines on additional ships?
-
What ships have the freestyle machines?

I have inquired about the jetski Stingray City and Rum Point tour as well. They have already emailed me back that they have availability for my date. I could not real find anything on Tripadvisor about this company but so far everything I have found on these boards has been positive.

When I looked at your first photo of the review, I said wait a minute, there are 6 kids here thinking Mariah was one of the kids and Vicki was you girlfriend. Hope that comes off a compliment to the women in your life.. I'm taking my wife and 2 sons age 14 and 17 on their second cruise over New years on the Independence. Making me wish I chose the Allure instead.
By the way, very nice friend to let you borrow his Nikon D5100. Almost thinking about taking the splurge and getting one for myself or finding a friend with one.. haha.. Great job on the review.. Thanks for sharing.

Applied at a local county office and did just regular service. Applied for my 17 year old son on Friday 9/6. Not back yet..
Applied at the same county office on Monday 9/9 for my 14 year old son, again just regular service. His arrived today 9/26. 16 days not bad..
What's strange besides that my older sons was applied the Friday before and has not received yet is the online status check for both has never changed other than saying its being processed. The check for my 14 year old son was cashed almost a week earlier than the check for my 17 yr old son who actually applied a few days earlier.
I would not put a lot of weight in the on line status center, I would more look to see if my check was cashed and give it 2-3 weeks most from that date when you should expect the passport. Again this was regular service
