SO I guess it begs the question...what is the benefit of booking with them??...I mean, a reduced deposit is simply delaying what you owe them.....is there any financial incentive?...$75 OBC is nothing imho. I can get that from pretty much ANY TA or travel site to be honest....
-
crappy...but thanks for the answer.
-
DO they offer OBC for your current cruise as well when you book, or just for the future cruise?
-
Still looking for info on this and pricing......have heard its as cheap as $50 and others have saidf over $100 each way?!
-
Every cruise ship I have been on has them overflowing with kids...quite annoying to say the least.
cant imagine its any different now that its amped.

Any feedback on Uber/Lyft?
-
Anyone with experience or insight using Uber/Lyft?

I hate using shuttles...I always take an Uber/Lyft when going out of FLL or MIA..been awhile since I cruised out of Port Canaveral which I will be doing in Nov on Harmony.
Wonder how easy it is for Lyft or Uber there.....as its quite a ways to MCO.....is it as easy to get one as any other port or dos the distance make it a less popular option?

I am with you 100%..I LOVE some pub wings with beer and always missed that cruising with Royal.
Had playmakers on Marnier..and loved it..wings are good. Not a bad price either from what I remember. Always a fairly good crowd in their too.
As for Bamboo room..it was a real miss on our cruise. DEAD....boring..and while the drinks sounded good..no one in our party even drank half of them they were so.....not good.
But the concept and look of the Bamboo room is cool..so hopefully it was a one off.
I am disappointed that Harmony has neither as I have Harmony booked for Nov.
-
No ship I have been on smells of smoke "everywhere:"....casino yes and for a few feet outside of that..the other 95% of the ship..no problem.
-
No Playmakers on Harmony..
But on any other ship..its free to go in...you pay for food you want to order....
-
interesting abut the cabins being nicer...I found the layout on Celebrity much better than previous Royal cruises so I cant wait to compare.
-
no kids there during my experience on Celebrity...on Royal it was usually just for an hour or so before it turned into a normal nightclub type thing....
-
Absolutely love it.....haven't seen it in a few years on my Royal cruises...was on Celebrity last year and we didn't leave the dance floor..so much fun...good crowd and mix of ages....line up was out the bar for people waiting to get in....
Hoping its on Harmony for our next cruise.

Cpl questions about Harmony then..
No more comedy club..it was moved to the Attic Night club?..So its a comedy club and then late night club?..what deck is that on now? (I don't see this updated on their deck plans for my Nov19 cruise)
Wow bands used in place of Seapass cards? Do you get a seapass card at all or just a wow band at check in?

Been to Nassau about 12 times in the past 4-5 years...no issues anywhere...stay smart....no different than any other stop really. Actually feels more comfortable and safe then Falmouth, Jamaica....that's for sure!
These type of warnings come and go.....isn't there still a Zika virus warning out there for some countries?

Thanks for the list....great to see!!
-
yeah...so it says drinks up to $15 are included...but then its lists a bunch of drinks that aren't(and wouldn't be $15)....and it says its the most inclusive at sea......??!
I have never had a cruise with a drink package with as many exclusions and up charges.....just have to be very careful when I order drinks obviously...or I will put no money on my account card so if I do order a drink and there is a charge they cant charge me and will have to make it with the cheap stuff instead....seems like a process....never had a drink package that didn't include bottled water or some OJ or some coffee or some powerade/Gatorade.....any I have had even included redbull which I expected to be an extra charge....
For the price I am paying for the cruise I cant complain I guess..but for the normal cost of this cruise I would cruise any other line and add the drink package and would be the same $ or less for ALOT more drinks options it appears....
thanks for the info guys.....I guess I need to find the drink menu and study it to see what I can and cant drink.....
-
Thanks for the info...an ideas on the pricing of bottles of water/Gatorade?....Do they have vending machines or just at the bars for those items?
Is there a list or link anywhere of what is/not included for drinks. its pretty confusing to have a drink package, but some pretty basic common drinks not to be included.

So I have done a dozen cruises..all with Royal/Celebrity but grabbed a cheap 3day deal with NCL on Sky. I have been reading up on reviews and posts etc but still have a few questions I hope some experienced NCL cruisers can help me with.
On board account...I chose a cash account(always do with Royal) bit it appears that with NCL you have to make a deposit on the account to use it?..you cant make purchases and then pay them off?
Do they offer self disembark option where you carry off your own luggage? This is our preferred option with Royal.
On Sky its drinks included....wondered about things like bottled water or Gatorade if that is included? I know its not a "true" drink package like if you purchased on a different NCL ship....but it seems like there maybe a lot of drinks NOT included in this "free" package on Sky?!
Any other tips or information would be greatly appreciated especially if someone has cruised Royal and NCl and knows what to look for or expect differences with.
Thanks in Advance!

I have never cruised NCL before or cruised on a ship with no straws..it seems a little crazy?! I was just on Royal back in Oct and while they were trying to cut back on straws and only use them when needed, they weren't banned and removed.
Frozen drinks with no straws would seem to be a bit of a challenged once your about half way done your drink......
Heading on Sky in 11 days...should be interesting

yes...I need it after....I am not flying into FLL..driving from Fort Lauderdale and then after the cruising driving to Orlando and Tampa to fly home.
-
I am driving in from FLL and looking for parking advice. I am not thrilled at the idea of driving around the port to be honest but have a rental and need to park somewhere. Debating if its easier/better to park right at the port(even though it costs more closer to ship) or better to save some money and park offsite?
Looking for recommendations/experience for both......I haven't cruised NCL before so not sure about the parking and rates for them.......
-
Yeah.>I should have booked as it jumped almost 20%...but I am hoping that's cause it will go back down with Black Friday....the cruise is 4 weeks out so once I book I cant reprice or change it.....I normally don't gamble like this when booking....fingers crossed something comes along...lower prices or bigger OBC..
