  1. The E deck obstructed cabins on Azura are identical to all the balcony cabins, so there should be no reason why they cannot be set up as a Queen bed. In addition they will have the open wardrobe set up which would be an ideal spot got the cot.
  2. Not all intercruise coaches, especially the return ones from Southampton are luxury ones, we had some Canadian relatives return from Ventura with them, and my BIL was very disappointed not to have the advertised wi fi, and someone elses left over sandwich in his seat back.
  3. I thought the Aussies were "phased" by covid, some of their lockdowns were so severe they made ours seem like Downing street parties,🤣
  4. Stop being so controversial ICF, more intensive cleaning is already being done to try to prevent covid from spreading if someone falls ill on board, but I believe Noro is deemed much more infectious, so extra cleaning is recomended to try and stop it from spreading.
  5. So if only one couple take the cruise offer , are they the only passengers that P&O wait for, do they only allow those 2 to board and deny all the others?
  6. Not really, I like chocolate anytime, especially if it's on a special offer.😇 But the odd special offer from Celebrity that competes with P&O does not alter the fact that for balcony passengers, which are now the majority of cruisers, their prices are generally significantly higher and their on board prices of drinks, speciality dining, shore excursions etc are higher still, plus you then have gratuities. Regardless of this we should still complain to P&O about poor food quality and poor waiter service, as well as any other aspect where we feel the service could be improved without increasing staff numbers.
  7. I dont believe your phone number comment, I am fairly certain the major online TA many on here use, has a dedicated P&O line which enables them to provide a superior service.
  8. TBF you were very unlucky to experience all the worst possible issues that seem to have occurred on Iona or Arvia, all on one cruise. I do agree that P&O don't seem to have enough venues for live music, and the Atrium is very dull, so maybe P&O could emulate Princess and use the Atrium routinely for their musical groups, hopefully it's acoustics would be a hundred times better than the Skydome. Similarly the food and service in the MDRs could be much better, and some of the more recent reviews do suggest there are improvements. In addition P&O do seem to be addressing the queuing problems, or at least looking to how they can make the virtual queuing feature more suitable. But, when you compare the pricing on P&O to most of its major competitors, then that has to be a major plus factor, and passengers cannot expect RCI, Princess or Celebrity standards at those prices.
  9. "I didn't get where I am today by needlessly crossing palms with silver". 😇
  10. The hotel only wants you to vacate your room, you should be free to use their lounge facilities, and even order a coffee and cake to keep you going until you board.
  11. What I don't understand is why the butter tubs have now been reduced to 400gms from 500gms, do the makers think we won't notice? And the empty tubs are no longer as convenient for freezing batch cooking, Aargh!!!
  12. Yet another good reason for booking with a reliable online TA, who has a human at the end of their phone lines.
  13. Our flat we moved into 2 yrs ago has a built in fridge freezer which means the run off outlet is high enough to fit a large bowl underneath. As a result defrosting is a doddle compared to our old fee standing one.
  14. Starlink should cure this problem, they dont use geostationery satellites. Not sure how they operate but suspect there are a string of them in the lower orbit position, and you connect to the nearest one to you at the time. But I am sure we will have a few experts able to tell us exactly how they differ, and why this improves internet speeds.
  15. No in order of arrival, which probably does mean the early birds will be Ligurians.
  16. @solentsam you say this was on your invoice, does that mean you have had a new one since you filled in the medical questionnaire, or did you find this on line, if so can you please advise how to find this data?
  17. Yes mine, despite being a VW diesel, is not eligible for for any compensation due to emissionsgate.
  18. The Quality street were 600 gms, whilst the Rose's were 550gms, but the special nectar price only lasted a few days.
  19. No Avril, that was my least favourite, but I must try @majortom10's dark chocolate one sometime.
  20. I bought 3 tins from Sainsburys last week for £4.00 each.
  21. If you are Caribbean level, or a suite passenger, you should have a much earlier boarding time than 14:00.
  22. My wife could not use the fridge on her own, so perhaps my view is not relevant. Although if there was a demand from disabled cruises for a higher level fridge I would have no objections. As far as the beds are concerned I will be asking P&O for something like an indoor mobility half step to enable my wife to feel safer getting in and out of bed.
  23. Clearly PI and P&O must be using different criteria to determine the most suitable height for disabled beds.
  24. My diesel car was registered in Oct 2014 but according to all current clean air zone websites, it is exempt from any charges.
  25. The last time I went into our bank was in 2018 when our visiting Canadian relatives needed to change some of their old twenty pound notes for new ones. I have used the post office bank envelopes for paying in any cheques, although I might try the banking app to pay in any future ones, and for cash there is an ATM at our local Sainsburys, or I use my bank card to withdraw cash at the post office, for most other things I use online banking. So will probably never need to visit my bank again.
