  1. We are on a cruise this year at Christmas, and one of my family's longstanding traditions is that every year we eat Chinese food for Christmas. It started while we were in the process of adopting from China, and we have been doing it ever since, this will be year 18. Would it be out of line if we requested something Chinese that is off menu? I know, it's a small thing, and normally its for allergies or medical needs or religious preferences... but I know for us it's just a neat family tradition. Should I talk to the MDR staff the first day after we get onboard to let them know in advance, or should I wait for the first night's meal and discuss with the waiter?
  2. Also, if anyone knows - do they typically have comedians for US sailings? I don't see any on the current sailing out of europe, but I know the European market and the US market can be very different.
  3. I know there was a recent refurbish for Reflection - Does anyone have any idea of what kind of shows are on the Reflection, and how many formal nights there might be for a 6 night cruise? (Specifically the Dec 23 2023 sailing but anything close would be great
  4. I have been told that now Falmouth does not allow independent excursions to come into the port area to pick people up, that only excursions through the ship can do that. Is that true? Has anyone else seen or heard something Similar? I would prefer something pre-booked before the cruise, but I wasn't sure if there was anything open you could walk up to and book an excursion without prior planning. My ship only offers 2 beach options, and the cheapest is 80 per person.
  5. You underestimate the ability of toddlers to unchildproof stuff.
  6. In the reviews spreadsheet, it does not have a room class of I2. According to the current deck plans I2 is a category, https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-ships/celebrity-reflection Did they recently change the labels of room types or something? We are booked for an I2 room - It's an Interior room on deck 7.
  7. Ship - Ovation Of The Seas Deck - 7 Stateroom # - 7520 Stateroom Category – 2E Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? Some noise at night from crew area across the hall. Foghorn was also loud, but not much you can do about that on an Alaska Cruise unless you are in an interior cabin. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Technically labeled an obstructed view, it was perfect. A small white ledge at the foot of our balcony would have stopped us from staring straight down - but that was not a problem. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? - No Any other comments? - Brief Video of Cabin here:
  8. Anyone know if Quantum Class ships will be substituting a different stop in their itenerary? I'm on Ovation in August. Hope it is cleared up
