If you buy for the entire voyage it’s $24.99 (12.50  for elite) per day.  If your just buying one day at a time here and there it’s $30 (15.00 for elite).

Never have bought it for a day at a time so didn't know there were different prices. Don’t know why it wasn’t explained that way when I asked. Thanks

  2. Looked back several days and couldn’t find mention of any changes for internet pricing. We are currently on the Ruby Princess with the Plus package. On our next segment we will not have a package so asked at the Internet Cafe what the internet charge for Elites would be.  I was told that for the next cruise the price was increasing to $30 per day ($15 if Elites). Has anyone else heard of any increase for internet pricing?

It is $35 for Sabatini’s and $39 for Crown Grill. So far I have not been charged the 18%. We will see what happens next month

We were told about the 18% when making the reservation at the CG and would be $92 for the two of us.  We eat there in 2 days so will know for sure. This is on the Ruby so other ships might do it differently.

Sabatinis is AU $55 and the Bayou Steakhouse is AU $63 for my upcoming world cruise on Coral Princess. Note: on ships operating in AUD there are no gratuities added to drinks prices or speciality restaurant prices - the price you see is what you pay.

Grand Princess has the Crown Grill  instead of the Bayou which we also enjoyed   around South America.  So based on my cruise in  Oct/Nov 2023,  the price for Crown Grill equivalent to your Bayou, the price for the Steakhouse has increased $10AU.

For our cruise from San Francisco to AU and NZ, we were cruising before the gratuities were added to different dining venues..  We don't cruise enough in AU or NZ to be experts on when or IF gratuities are charged for Au/NZ cruises.

I’m not sure what you mean. When you say you got “ exactly what you would have received on a non AU cruise” are you talking about value or number of dollars?

The 200 USD OBC due to those on a casino cruise was converted to about 300 AUD in October. Not a 1:1 exchange rate but the current rate generally used for exchange at that time so yes, exactly what would have been received in USD.

Meant if we would have received $250US  military for an Caribbean cruise we received $250AU for the military credit.  All our OBC posted that way.  Never been nor will be on a casino cruise but pricings posted by cruisers sound like a very good deal.

Not all OBC is converted to USD 1:1. OBC due on casino bookings is converted at the current rate of the sailing date, it was 2:6 on our last cruise.

OBC due from Shareholder credit is granted in AUD per the shareholder benefit document, not converted from USD.

My biggest concern was that they offered an exchange rate of 1:1 when using USD gift cards to pay charges made in AUD.

For our Australian cruise last Oct/Nov, however you look at it, when our OBCs (promo, military, FCC, Shareholder, TA) were all posted to our Folio, the amounts posted were exactly what we would have received if we had been on any non AU cruise.  I did pass Math classes so not sure why all our OBCs would not be considered 1for 1.  .

I have pre-selected seating in EZair bookings every time when able to do so (i.e. allowed).  This was been done months before ticketing date and never caused nor required ticketing.  Several years ago, I did explicitly request ET so I could do seat selection on Air Canada.

So, I do disagree with your premise and also am aware many other members here have also been able to do seat selection - depending on airline and class of ticket - without generating ticketing.

If this is a recent change, then secretive Princess needs to pony up and publish it.

I don't believe that there has been any change in seat selections when using EZair..  It has always been the airlines with their rules on when/how you select seats.  Have never had a problem with making seat assignments on Delta or United EZair flights  Been waiting since Aug to get seats on Westjet and can't even contact them through a phone number.

Haven't seen anything from EZair regarding changes for making seat selections

Thanks for explaining.  I guess we should all be more aware.  But Princess is the problem if they are ticketing without advising guests and still have the 45-day policy.

As I posted earlier, we were ticketed (on Travel Summary) 6 months before our actual flight on Delta to London.  Didn't think to much about it since price and dates were what we expected.  Don't know how we would have felt if we had wanted to change to a new  flight schedule 4 months  out.  Daughter and family were also ticketed before the 45 day window on their flights from Australia to Alabama.

Well shoot, I just discovered my problem and I guess it was me that made it that way. I didn't realize that by choosing seats, that would make the "early ticketing" happen and then make it so I couldn't change without penalty!

I guess Live and Learn. So if any of you purchase flights from Princess EZAir - make sure you don't choose your seats or you won't be able to change/cancel your flight without penalty.  😞

So far flying on Delta booking through EZair, we have been able to select Delta economy seats with no charge at the time we book flights with EZair..  When we upgraded to Premium Economy, we had to ask for early ticketing to be able to get those seats. Was able to get seat assignments on United flights at the time of booking with EZair about 300 days before our flight.

We are flying home from Vancouver in May on Westjet and have no idea how we will get seat assignments on Westjet. Have our flights ticketed and seat assignments on the Delta segment and hoping Delta might be able to help get assigned seats with Westjet..

  10. It means that you have "bought" the tickets just as if you had booked directly with i.e.. Delta and paid for the tickets at that time.  You can see the ticket number on your Travel Summary where your flight info is.

Evidently, they can ticket the flights before your 45 day window.  EZair for some reason ticketed our flights for June 2023 to London in Jan 2023.  We were ok and lucky in that prices didn't go down and we were ok with the flight date.

We are flying home from Vancouver in May 2024 and I requested Early Ticketing as we fly out the day cruise ends and our flights have almost doubled in price.  So again no problem for us.  Plus, we leave on 23 March on a cruise that ends in Vancouver in May and I didn't want to have to worry about when our flights would be ticketed while cruising there.

  11. Maybe Princess meant it would no longer be available to download from the APP store.  I no longer see it in the APP store but it is still on my phone and I can see everything that I've input into the old app.  I'm not a techie so guessing that the old app couldn't get any new updates as they come out.

  12. Check your Travel Summary under Special Services. The coupon book will show up there and is called Cruise Night Coupon Books. We always see a coupon book listed for both of our names.   We only get the coupon books if our TA has that promotion at the time we book the cruise.  So far we have only used the coupon for the first night’s meal at a specialty dining room.  Not sure where else you might see the book listed in your Personalizer.

    Don't think so.

The email I received with the 2024 Coupon Booklet had Booking #, Ship Name, the dates and where cruise was going.  Also, your Travel Summary shows you have a Coupon Book under Special Services.  So Princess does know what you are to have for each cruise. I would think the shop would mark on the coupon your cabin number or somehow show you used a coupon to buy whatever.

Asked in a different thread but got no response. Can anybody tell me what the footnotes mean? Many of the coupons have numbers after them that must have a legend somewhere describing what they mean. I've seen coupons posted numerous times and have never been able to get anybody to tell me what the dang numbers mean. There must be a legend that tells one what the footnote numbers mean.

    Example:

This coupon references footnotes #13. What the heck doe it mean? Why is the legend that explains these never posted when people post the coupons?

    image.png.5212b0b603bfb00bf30a1977ea26a314.png

The footnotes found on the coupons in the 2024 Coupon Booklet  describes in detail the conditions that are required to use each coupon.  Each shop, etc probably has a copy of the footnote describing how their coupon could be redeemed. The 2024 Coupon Booklet is very similar to the 2023 booklet we received.

Footnote 13 says to present coupon to the Casino Manager to redeem.  They would then explain how the free credit must be played before it can be cashed out and other conditions for accepting the coupon --  such as one per stateroom, age limit, expires at end of voyage etc.

Coupons can be for either a single transaction, or one per cabin, or subject to availability, etc

I do need to correct the expiration times that I posted earlier.  All coupons expire at the end of the cruise, unless an earlier date is stated. My coupons expire  on March 31, 2024 even though my cruise ends on 7 April 2024.

We’re currently on the Sapphire and long been curious about whether Elites get free tokens. Just went and asked and we do 🙂

I like to wash underwear in the self service laundry but in the past whenever we’ve sent out t shirts, shirts, shorts etc Princess have done a great job. Definitely not boiled and baked.

We are on the same cruise with you to Hawaii and I would love to go with you to Guest Services for some free tokens.  When I go to ask, the answer has always been the same - no free tokens..  On our last cruise had enough OBC that I did go there to buy 30 tokens.  The GS officer thought that was a weird request and only charged me for 20 tokens.

I’ll pay the $3 wash, $3 dry and $? To buy detergent on my upcoming 16 day Hawaii trip.  Just to wash underclothes, polos and T-shirts and swim trunks.  Even though it is free to send out laundry for elites, I’ll do self-serve.

On the Grand Princess, soap and Downey were $1.50 each
