Ships still missing an itinerary after October 2016 are; Victory, Splendor, and Miracle. Victory is most likely heading to San Juan. Splendor might be heading back to Long Beach (lots of rumors on that) and Miracle to Tampa? Miami has plenty of ships so losing a ship there isn't much of a big deal to that port. And then many Fantasy class ships are still missing an itinerary as well. Hopefully the next announcement won't take so long
I am betting you right on all three of those (Victory to San Juan, Splendor to Long Beach, and Miracle to Tampa). I wouldn't be surprised to see Ecstasy go to Charleston, I believe she has several 2.0 upgrades that Fantasy does not. I bet Long Beach looses one of the Fantasy class ships. Maybe San Diego gets one???? I have wondered why Carnival doesn't do a Fantasy class ship out of Ft. Lauderdale too. It would seem like they could run a cheap route to the Bahamas from there.

Looks like every ship is accounted for except, fantasy, ecstasy, imagination, and inspiration.
I am seeing some sailings for Victory from Port Canaveral in May and June but nothing after. I still don't see anything for Splendor or Miracle after October. Valor is missing a lot of sailings still. And I don't see anything for Fascination after October. Plus all those you mentioned.

It's such a shame to use such a big ship for such short trips, IMHO.
I agree. It is a bit surprising to me. I suppose they are stepping up their game to try to combat Royal Caribbean in Port Canaveral.

And Magic is showing up in Port Canaveral now, we knew that was coming but still nice to have confirmation.

Valor is showing up with some really cheap sailings in Jan 2017. Looks like she is taking over Sensations 3 and 4 day trips

So Sensation to Miami. Victory, Valor, Magic, Sunshine in Port Canaveral. Not seeing anything for Tampa. Hopefully there will be more info to the announcement, or it'll probably just be the announcing of Magic and Victory to Port Canaveral, and Sensation to Miami.
Sensation to Miami would make sense to take over Victory's schedule. It still isn't showing for me yet though. I thought Victory was supposed to be going to San Juan to take over for Fascination though. Also Legend's summer schedule to Alaska is posted now, so she will still be out of Seattle for the summer.

Ok, that is working now. Looks like Splendor is staying in Miami too.
And now I have realized that Splendor now has bookings through the end of October from Miami and Miracle now has bookings through the end of October from Long Beach...... Wonder is that is just a coincidence or not????

Have the start month as may 2016. Then use the drop down boxes for port and ships to see what ships will be there after may 2016..
Ok, that is working now. Looks like Splendor is staying in Miami too.

As of right now the only change i see on carnival.com is sensation is going to Miami.
I am not seeing that. But now it won't even let me search for March and April 2016.

Some people just like to be stubborn for no reason other than boredom apparently. For everyone else out there worried about Port Canaveral, Jim Berra, Carnival's chief marketing officer, let slip in a radio interview in Galveston that Carnival Magic would be moving to Port Canaveral in 2016. This would be a major upgrade for Carnival ships sailing from this port. Magic currently has sailings from Galveston scheduled until November 2016 when she will be replaced by the Breeze. The biggest questions in my mind are:
1- Will any other ship take over the Sunshine sailings until Magic moves?
2- Will Sensation and Valor both continue to sail from PC after April 2016? Neither have anything scheduled yet.
Carnival says we will find out this week.....

How am I rude? I point out what the paper says. A poster said I was wrong and it was a rumor. That my friend is rude. There is no mention of Magic coming to PC. The Sunshine will be leaving. It it will result in a short term loss of business at Port Canaveral for summers of 2016 and 2017. This is what the OP was questioning.
How can you state something as fact when it is not? How do you find "a short term loss of business for Port Canaveral for summers of 2016 and 2017"? Carnival has yet to release the schedules for 10 of their ships for the summer of 2016 and hasn't released any schedule for any of their ships past April 2017. By definition you are stating a rumor. Until Carnival releases their schedule for the summers of 2016 and 2017 you cannot state as fact that PC is loosing business.

Rumor? It came from the Port Director. If you are capable, read it for yourself in the Florida Today news online. Here, I will attempt to make it easier for you.
in the event this is not good enough for you Call 321-242-3649 or contact Dberman@floridatoday.com and voice your opinion of their "rumors"
In spite of your rudeness, you still obviously did not read the entire article yourself. You say the article says only the Valor and Sensation will be sailing out of Port Canaveral. Maybe you skipped the entire section about the Sunshine offering sailings, including new visits to Bermuda. The article then mentions that Valor has replaced Liberty and Sensation will continue to sail from PC. It contains no information about future ship deployments to PC by Carnival ships which is the subject of this thread.

So some shopping for cruises leaving from LA. Carnival has to really discount the prices to fill the ships. Until the demand increases, it makes no sense to send a larger ship which they will have difficulty filling.
Same story as every port that has lost a Carnival ship. If Carnival was filling the ships at prime prices, they would never leave that port. But like New Orleans, discounting cruises to $250 for a 7 day cruise means that ship is going somewhere else.
What are you talking about New Orleans? The Dream isn't going anywhere is it? I thought they were adding capacity in New Orleans.

But I thought I read the Panama Canal expansion would be done in 2016 though. Making all the discussions about a trip around South America a moot point.

Not seeing nearly as much information about this one as was available from the Glory last week. Thoughts and prayers to everyone involved.

John Heald confirmed this on his FB page, said they are conducting a search and rescue.

Read the rest of the press release. Once Magic gets to Port Canaveral, Valor will take over for Victory and she will move to a different port. They just haven't said where yet.
