Was on the Epic in November of '21 with Unlimited. There were some days during the middle of the crossing that internet just wasn't working. And the boat was only about 50% capacity passenger count. I assume it's due to satellite coverage in the middle of the ocean is not an in demand coverage area.

I intend on buying pack and go travel insurance from my TA, so I'll be covered no matter what.

Honestly you're going to meet people of all ages, and since everyone is on vacation, they are generally easy to talk to. I don't really meet strangers easy, but know how to get along. Sat with an older couple at breakfast and they had some amazing life experiences and stories that I'll always remember. We didn't really hang after that meal, but always waved at each other. Relax and enjoy.
