Do they still insist on men taking there trouser belts off when going through the screening ? Its impossible to carry hand luggage and hold up your trousers at the same time.....can lead to some awkward moments !!! I am thinking of walking through with just my underpants. It will save a lot of time and embarrassment. Any Ideas, please ?
I put my hand luggage on the conveyer belt before taking my belt off

I noticed that the lanyards on the Noreigan Cruise Lines ship we saw had spaces for name and number of previous cruises - I thought it was naff

They let a bloke in wearing a skirt who then proceeded to talk gibberish on Burns night

I see that the woman shoplifter on the mobility scooter, and the launderette fights are still prevelent on the Ventura according to a review of N603 on another site. I did miss the attempted murder though.
-
We were on N603 with a checkin time of 3.30pm. We had a lovely picnic in the New Forest. Arrived at Terminal 2.50pm in cabin 3.30pm.

It is not an awful ship - more suited for the sun - but it was not suited for us.

I have just checked, and my travel insurance will give me £50 for a missed port due to weather.

They are all inside

Also, if you want 20% of your formalwear, you only need to buy 1 Moss Bross share.
-
Could the massive hike in share prices give Carnival an opportunity to scrap the OBC without doing to much damage to the long term share price ?
They can keep the status quo, as the more it costs to buy the qualifying amount fewer people make the investment.
-
I suppose it depends what price you brought them at, how many you own and how often you cruise. They have seen quite a rise in the last couple of years and as with all shares they can go down as well as up.
Just 100 - no more, no less

Where is Brian Rix? This thread is now becoming a total farce. Not only have we gone round with the same arguments three times, but every delay of a few minutes is down to this 'new' check in scheme. If check in is the be all and end all of your cruise then get a life. To those who find it the 'final straw' then go - you won't be missed - Rant over.
-
As my grandmother used to say "if you cannot say something without swearing then it is not worth saying" so straight away because you have to revert to foul language then you immediately have lost the argument.
That old chestnut - lost argument, find some obscure way of claiming victory - language that is freely used on TV, and even radio 4.

We had pork and crackling, ham and turkey. No roast potatos though, Unlike a Toby, meat was limitless. It was only lunchtime.

I wonder why P&O think it is a good idea to put the Union Flag on their ships considering the state of the world at the moment and the fact that Britain is not exactly flavour of the month.
Anyone agree?
Better than having the white flag that it replaced.

It was offered on the Oriana for the first 2 days of the three cruises we went on back in 2014 - we really enjoyed it.

The cruise lines say 6 months left on your passport . US and Canada only require that your passport is valid until the day you leave . Some countries require 3 months or countries require 6 months. The cruise line's comment is wrong.
Taken from P & ) website
'The following passport and visa information is for British Citizens only. Non British Citizen passport holder requirements may differ. Please check with the Embassies of the countries you are travelling to for the most up to date information. You will need to have 6 months validity in your passport after your date of return and we recommend that you have some blank pages in your passport for entry/exit stamps.'

There appears to be a rumour going round that millions of people will need a new UK passport to enter the US. I have read the story, and it seems that the US want people to have a biometric passport. As they were introduced in March 2006, and most cruise lines require at least six months left on your passport, I cannot see it being a problem. Umless someone can prove I am a totally wrong.

However a lot of people have been posting that turn up at the allocated time, and being on board with in 15-20mins.
Or we could do it your way, turn up at noon ignoring the time on the ticket and sitting there for many hours.
Oh it is difficult to know which one I would go for here........
I have no intention of continuing to turn up and sit around for ages. It was an observation from experience. I was trying to say that people who are complainingg about sitting around waiting were quite happy to stand around queueing.
-
As an unashamed turn up at noon and forget the time on my ticket I have always been amazed at the way people are happy to give up their seats to book in, and then queue for ages at the security scanners, and then queue to get on the ship. In the past this has taken up to 45 minutes.
It's akin to waiting for a bus - moaning when sat in a windproof shelter when the bus is late - then elated when the bus turns up, but having to stand crammed in like a sardine for the rest of the journey.
Just my observations.

Do not worry about the Bay of Biscay as technically most cruises do not enter it, and the severe seas are much further in where the deep water meets the shelf.
I vote for sturgeron.
-
I always start the average age rumour, and see how long it takes to get back to me.
-
Yeah .. you sound like the sort of inconsiderate person that puts his towels and books on a sun bed and then clears off for a couple of hours. Just as well we all don't have that attitude.

The 17 passengers who were not fighting on Ventura were kicked off in the Canaries.
