Question- about the cuts of meat. You said the better cuts aren't available at the MDR. Royal usually offers a Chops Steak at the MDR for an additional fee. Does Celebrity offer the same? Hope your wife recovers quickly and fully.

Good point @nimbex1970 The prices are in Euros. It's 24 euros for guacamole and chips. I live in NY, one of the most expensive states, and it's cheaper. Rainbow Cafe does look nice though. Perhaps, we just rent chairs and get drinks, and share the guac and chips. It also like like there may be food trucks in the area. I know there are taxis by the port but maybe, we are better off pre-arranging with one of the more reputable companies.

I am sorry that you had a disappointing cruise. It seems a shame to give up on Royal after so many previous positive experiences. Perhaps, you should try a different ship not during a school holiday period including Yeshiva week. You may also want to check out sister brand Celebrity.

Why not do the bus or rent a car at Hertz in Seward and return car at Anchorage Airport? The drive is scenic and be sure to stop at the Alaska Wildlife Center.

We also had a good experience on the Jade which it seems like you also did minus the excursions. Instead of putting NCL on the verboten list, why not keep using non-ship excursions? Also, it's good to try other lines. Our next cruise is on Celebrity.

Rainbow Cafe looks nice but expensive. Are all the restaurants on Grand Case Beach expensive? Is there jetski rental nearby? Are cabs readily available?

Have you also looked into Princess and HAL? Mein Schiff is a German line. Do you speak German?

Royal cancels Coco Cay or Labadee much less as they have a dock. The only show Royal cancels due to weather is the aquatheatre shows which are outside.

That's wonderful that you are taking a family cruise with your mom. The Harmony is a great ship. If you can sign up for assigned dining. Also, download the app and try to make show reservations for mom 30 days out. The first day can be overwhelming. We had lunch in Chops on our embarkation day and it was a great start to the cruise. I don't know if you still can do that.

We are looking for a beach day. We are not snorkelers. Two of us just like to relax on the beach with a cocktail. The third person enjoys water sports like jet ski is. From the port, we can take a water taxi to Great Bay, a short cab ride to Divi, or should we go to Orient, Mullet, or Grand Case Beach? Thanks.
