The perception of Rodney Dangerfrield in Caddyshack hitting the country club stuffing dollars in every staff member while flatulating “somebody step on a duck?”
Then dancing with the captains wife, “honey, you were probably something before electricity!”
Bring my plaid salesman coat and beat you stiffies to the m’d at 12:40 and pass a c-note for my table pick.
Yeah, that one looks good!
How’d that pauper get that one?
Are you going to Alaska anytime soon? Another FL man but I hope you are behind me at the QG first lunch. I'll look for your jacket.

We were on QA 10th May cruise, along with another CC member and have a bit of QG experience so ask away.
Since the steakhouse has a fruits de mer dish with king crablegs it has to be on board. Can you ask for it in the QG? Either as an individual serving or to say top the halibut- oscar style?
We sail on the QE soon to Alaska. I'm going to try to stick to seafood in the evening.

The porter has always collected our luggage right from our room. I hope they still do that.
Even better. Did he bring a stapler?

Perhaps we shall meet up onboard. We also have a 12:30 boarding time but are staying at the Westing Bayshore so will have to get our bags to the ship on our own. I do love the Pan Pacific but am awash in Marriott points and also love the proximity to Stanley Park.
If you fancy a nice dinner out precruise, check out Lupo restaurant in Yaletown. It's a quick Uber ride or longish walk from the Pan Pacific and they have a lovely Italian based menu. The bill always gives me heart failure until I convert to USD (we did go a few times when CAD/USD were on par and it was painful, but completely worth it).We have been to Vancouver many times and used to live in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, just across the Haro Strait from Victoria. We should have visited Alaska while we lived there but never made it. Now we're in FL.
Anyhoo, we love sushi and Vancouver is one of the best cities we have visited for such. We have a reservation for embark eve at Miko which is very close to Pan Pacific.

We were just assigned a 12:30 boarding time for 6/21. Checkout in the Vancouver Pan Pacific is 11:00. They take your luggage right to the ship from the lobby! How easy is that?

Why no Gnocchi?
Probably ordered the nookie.

Let’s meet up in QG for this voyage. I’ve been in Britannia and PG before, first for QG. A big difference with Cunard is that the waiters do not try to be the center of attention and are truly kind to us. No waiters dancing on tables etc… Plus, everyone makes a fuss over you. You’ll be embarrassed with the kind attention you’ll receive. Just don’t order the gnocchi!
That's a bet!
We always make friends with the staff. It's a given.
I see you're from CT. While I'm originally from Miami, most of my roots are from New Haven and Hartford- a lot of Pratt and Whitney employees.
Just listen for the Loud McNultys!

Are you on 23 June QA to the Fjords? We are - first time going there, and I'm very excited!
6/21 QE to Alaska from Vancouver. We have 16 cruises under our belts. First time Cunard.

Inside a month to go. You really do not hear much from the QG'ers.
Are you so happy it's better to just keep things hush hush?
Give us your QG conquests!

Our June 21 voyage finally is sold out now, even though I can still bib for upgrades. As we know, that upgrade process is a mystery.
We're on the same sail. If it's sold out how can there be available upgrades?
-
Wait. The steering wheel is on the wrong side.
-
We're on the 6/21 QE too. Also gonna lose my Cunard cherry. We're in QG but I'll probably spend most of my time in the GL pub. Just listen for the Loud McNulty's from FL.

We're going on the QE on 6/21 out of Vancouver. Cunard pics show a "paddle ball court"?
***** is that?
It's not pickleball but for nothing else it would be a place to drill while away from your regular games at home.
I'm still undecided to pack my paddles and balls.

I emailed the question about the grills cktl package. We do have $800 obc from Cunard and daily tips are included too. They did not give us anything more. Here is my response:
Drinks Package in the Grills applies up to $12 drinks. Drinks over $12 will
be charged the full amount against the guest's folio.
-
Is it too hard to charge $3 for a $15 cocktail if you're limit is $12?
Do we really need Oppenheimer to solve this dilemma?

Has anyone ever asked for Alaskan King Crab Legs in QG and been refused?
I realize you simply make your requests in advance and that the chef likes challenges.
We'll be on the QE in June and it is a 10 day Alaska rt.
-
If you were in QG would you still book Verandah nights?
Couldn't you conceivably ask for anything that's on the V menu to be served in the QG?

The choice is easy for us. I prefer the staff leaving our cabin with a smile and happy thoughts.

TYVM- after looking at Sky Train it will be the way to go- to and fro. We're gonna be schlepping 2 large suitcases each. Is it easy to situate luggage on the train?
-
Cunard Queen Elizabeth. We have a Q4 suite. We could be first off on 7/1/24.
We thought we would leisurely depart with a 1:19 flight and just hop a cab after a nice breakfast.
What exactly happens on Canada Day? Will it impede travel time to the airport?
FL man is clueless.

I just went to my Cunard to see what I did initially setup. A table for 6! We generally have no qualms of dining with strangers and enjoy chatting with other cruisers.
But I can't roll the dice that we'll be stuck with "that guy" so I changed it to a table for 2. I'm sure if we wish to dine with another couple or two we'll figure something out.
-
First time Cunard. We have a Q3 pent suite. It is just the two of us. We asked for a 4 top at booking simply because the duece's are so small and we may make friends who wish to dine with us.
Is the dining table assigned with flexibility and is it first come first pick?
-
Is this frowned upon?

Um, you went and took a nap in a cabana that you did not rent? Not ok.
Scold away mom. No reserved signs anywhere and nobody around. They are not very nice cabanas, the furniture is beat up and there is no bathroom. Price was right though!

Hey NE John.
We’ve been her a few days. Stayed at Pan Pacific and had the best start of any of our many cruises.
Handed our 3 large bags off to a bellman who came to our room.
Then we took the elevator directly to the port, strolled through checkin and security and we are about to board any minute.
See ya in QG.
