  1. Darn autocorrect! Off summit yesterday and loved Quisine so much we ate there 2x. We told them we couldn't eat there the first night so they extended 30 percent off to the next night. The service and staff were excellent! We were in Aqua so not sure if 30 percent was due to that or not.

  2. DH and I are sailing Summit to Bermuda this July - also without our kids. It's our first time on Celebrity and my DH's first cruise ever.

We are older than you by 20 years - but we have young kids and we are very young at heart. DH left all the planning up to me and it was a no brainer to pick the Summit. While both lines will have tons of kids since it's the summer, it seems to me that the Breakaway will have a much more chaotic feel to it based on the research I have done. My guess is that the Summit will offer us a very relaxing time away from home - even if there are a lot of children.

We also are booked in Aqua class, which i am hoping will be a bit more adult oriented, as it will be a quieter dining experience in Blu than in the MDR.

Anyway, good luck choosing and enjoy your cruise!

  3. So, what time do DH and I have to get to the pool deck during our Summit cruise to Bermuda to secure lounge chairs at least somewhat near the pool? (I promise we won't put books down and leave for an extended period of time. We are not chair hogs;)

We are sailing in July so I assume the resort deck will be very crowded.

It's freezing in NJ right now so I can't stop thinking about the warm summer sun.

    Thanks for your help!

  4. DH and I are REALLY looking forward to our first cruise on the Summit - July 6 out of Bayonne to Bermuda.

I'm a major planner and am already wondering about a couple of things related to our first day on the ship.

    1. When do we get to go to our cabin, and when does our luggage get there?

    2. Should we pack a carry on bag so we can change into bathing suits if we want to go to the pool?

    3. Where's a good place to have lunch that day?

    4. Where's the best place to be during sail away, and what time should we get there?

    3. What's a good time to have dinner that night based on the time we will have to go to the muster drill?

Also, we are in Aqua class and I understand all about Blu being our dining room - but are there any special nights in the MDR (besides formal nights) that are really fun and DH and I wouldn't want to miss - so that I know to go to Select Dining that night?

    Thanks!!!

  5. Hi: I'm so glad to have found this website - I'm fascinated by cruising now! DH and I are scheduled for a July cruise to Bermuda on the Summit from Port Liberty. It's his first cruise and my second (First on NCL's Norway 20 years ago!).

We are already booked into aqua class cabin 9108 through TA. I am confused based on my (our needs) and wondering if we should switch.

    1. Must have a mostly quiet room (I'm a light sleeper)

    2. Prone to motion sickness

    3. I'm a a sun worshipper (but am trying to cut back on that for obvious reasons)

    4. DH likes shade

    5. Don't want to pay higher price for Aqua room on deck 11.

I keep reading about the overhang on 9 and notice there are rooms like 9038 and 9043 that have larger balconies, and 9125 that has less of an overhang. I am afraid to tempt the fates and switch rooms.

Since there are still a lot of rooms available, I am constantly thinking about whether we should switch or not.

Anyone willing to assure me that we will be "happy" in our room?

    Thanks!!
