Haven't heard that before, have always been able to change within category after being assigned from a GTY. Your profile doesn't say where you are, but with your screen name did you book under UK rules by any chance?

No I'm in the US, born in Scotland. Did you book direct with Royal or use a TA?

I would check and see if there are cabins opposite or next to each other in the category you have been assigned, if there are swap cabins, and then swap people, the 19 year olds can be in their own cabin if it is next to or across from the adults cabin. that way you all get the correct seapass cards and no extra keys needed

I called my TA and they called RCCL and they said no unless I paid for an upgrade.

You'll have to wait until you board. It appears there are no more slots available for pre-booking. I've been trying

Thursday I booked two inside guarantees on the July 23 Anthem. Already assigned two large interiors down the hall from each other and I'm happy with the rooms. Traveling party is me, hubby and 19 year old twins. Because they are not 21 we had to book the rooms me with one and the hubby with one. My husband and I will share a room and the Twins the other. Obviously the challenge is gaining access to a room you are not assigned too. Will guest services give us access to both rooms?

It wasn't even available as an option so I'm assuming it was completely booked. I'm hoping it will be available on board because my kids will be disappointed otherwise.

I just booked yesterday the Anthem for July 23 with dynamic choice dining. I was able to make reservations for all of the complementary restaurants with decent times. The only time I really didn't like was Chic at 9:00 pm! I'm hoping to be able to change that on board.

I was able to book North Star but not IFly and no Shows were available to book as of today.

I was just on my cruise planner and booked this restaurant. It doesn't say complementary but it doesn't have a price either. Glad to hear it is complementary. Thanks

Yes! and they smell fantastic! Courtyard of the Royal Hawaiian smells like heaven.

Thanks! I hope Spring Break isn't in full swing(yikes). It seems the ship has a lot of availability left, but it seems to me that even at the 5 star rate, its a darned good deal!

 

FYI the entire public school system in Michigan is on Spring Break that week.

I have been on X as well as DCL and would do both again, in fact I'm going on X in two weeks. DCL has phenomenal service, the food is good, the ships are clean and Castaway Cay is hands down the best private island. Our servers were the best and knew all of our preferences.

I don't think you have anything to worry about on X. I went on the Century after it's refurb and it was beautiful and the service and food was excellent. I am going to be on the Constellation with the Premium drink package and I love the idea of not having to sign for drinks.

Celebrity Fan thanks for the heads up. Considering sailing out of Barcelona or Rome. Going to be a tough decision! But Venice is attractive too!

We will be on the Constellation for Super Bowl Sunday. I have to believe that game will be shown or there will be at least 15 men from our group that will be very disappointed. That being said, they may not be in any shape to watch the game after being in Key West all day. ;)

"IF" you upgrade during the promotion (til 02/18)

it is only $10 P/P per day. There is no add on of 15%.

I added the Premium to my package for 5 days (cost $100).

My TA said it is $11.50 a day to upgrade. I believe the sticky on the first page says the same.
