  1. Grandeur was my first cruise. Fun times!
  2. I leave bathroom light on and leave the door open a crack.
  3. Don't you have to pay extra to select a specific cabin? Wouldn't this also pertain to switching cabins?
  4. Huh? How do they do this? I'm not a member of Costco, but do they have a travel agency? Looks fantastic. Glad you had a great time.
  5. Went on cruise with 16-year-old daughter. We weren't together 24/7, but I did tell her to let me know where she was going and I did the same with her. I don't recall any problems on the ship. We did get separated at the beach, but that's another story. 😄
  6. Yes, we had 2 formal nights on a 6-night cruise, 3 formal nights on a 15-night cruise. People didn't seem to get as dressed up as past cruises. Yes, I saw men wearing shorts in the dining room. I have seen men wearing shirts with a tuxedo print. They have a dress code, but it's not enforced.
  7. It's been a while since I did traditional dining. I thought when we did it, we didn't order dessert with the other courses. They would also try to serve everyone at the table at the same time (even if you were not together). We wanted to get to the early shows so we told our waiter to speed ours up. It was better when we did this. We weren't rushing through the meal, but we didn't need to linger.
  8. I know it's separate. I was just comparing ridiculous requirements.
  9. I don't understand that. When my daughter's suitcase was damaged by an airline, I had to show that I tried to get it fixed before I could get any money from airline. I thought that was ridiculous.
  10. I'm enjoying your travels. The post with the photo of your wife by your bed is so sweet. I hope you are enjoying yourself. Happy Halloween! 👻🎃
  11. My first cruises, MDR was lengthy. MyTime is better. We order all our courses at one time. Plus, I think they want turnover, unlike in the regular dining room.
  12. You're lucky. Breakfast seemed to be a tricky time finding a table. We did always find a table, but it wasn't always easy.
  13. One cruise I rarely ate in the MDR. Last cruise I ate in MDR most nights and one lunch. I liked the MDR because it was nice to sit down and be served.
  14. @ARandomTraveler thanks for the info. Next cruise I'll get travel insurance from a different venue.
  15. I wouldn't have a receipt for my suitcase. I bought it years ago. I hope you can work things out.
  16. No segregation. Most people didn't wear masks. Crew wore masks. I cruised in August.
  17. Okay, thanks. Hopefully nothing happens. Next time I'll look elsewhere maybe, depending which port I leave from.
  18. I just buy the one offered when I purchase the cruise. Is there a better way to go?
  19. I think someone said Explorer is due for renovation or something early next year. I'm due to sail on her in April. Went on Serenade a few years back and had a good time.
